Depend on your preference actually. Never used a hardware wallet before but Nano X is the latest model of ledger, as Ive reviewed both, there is not much an upgrade except for the bluetooth part of Nano X and newer design. But using Nano S is not much an issue, for me they are both fine, but if you like a sleeker and a high number of supported tokens and coins go for Nano X, but in terms of safety they are both good. Nano S is much cheaper so this is much an advantage cause both device has only one purpose to make you asset safe.

I've not used any hardware wallet before and I can actually afford one but I don't see the reason to buy hardware wallet because you still have to keep your private key safe, I don't see any difference between hardware wallet and a good mobile Dex wallet
