All the wallets look exactly the same as this new one:

Can anyone explain why?

Probably because most altcoins are just clones of clones of clones of the original bitcoin core implementation.

People pumping out new (scam)coins usually just clone an existing coin and change a couple parameters, maybe change the QT wallet a little bit, but they don't invest enought time to completely write a new wallet from scratch, so the end result is that most of those wallets look more or less like the implementation they were forked from. Sometimes you can even trace back which version of bitcoin core was initially cloned when you look at some of the features of the altcoin wallet.

PS: i'm not saying that all altcoins are scams, but a lot of them are either scams or worthless imho.

Why will you stray away from a design where a lot of users are familiar with? If I am an ICO developer I won't stray away from the main design of my wallet software to avoid further inconvenience to the user/investor. In my own opinion I would like to see an Altcoin be more focus on other things besides on having a new kind of GUI for my wallet.

That design is super basic, why not jazz it up a lil is what I'm thinking.

If we are talking the design like the example above then you are right, that kind of wallet design is one of the red flags to look out to for a poorly funded ICO project. With your term "jazzing" it up I see that a little bit of new design without straying away from the basics is a much more needed feature for investors. But let us not be blinded with how good the design of their UI is as you may now have seen even fake ICO projects gives there best from whitepaper to wallet design to attract potential victims to invest in their pre-sale.

Because it's fast and easy. Why spent time on the GUI when you either (a) focus on the technological fundamentals of your alt or (b) just plan on pump-and-dumping it in the first place? Most people will throw their money at you either way.

That's a good question . LOL . Because of these projects' source code are the same . If you check their source code , you maybe find they come from the same project or just be copied and don't any changed . If so , I suggest you should't pay more attention to these project , because this is useless .
