setup cgminer .conf that does not get longpoll from other pools?

I'd like to have multipule pools with different coins in my .conf so that I can easily switch between coins.

cgminer grabs block data from all pools, so having pools of different coins in the same conf causes problems.

Is there an easy way to keep pools in the same conf but not allow cgminer to grab data from all pools?

CGwatcher under windows allows me to just have several .conf files and just start the ones for each coin, but I have several linux boxes that can't run cgwatcher.
