Why would someone store their seed on a STEELWALLET? The first step to secure your cryptocurrency and your financial independence, after you bought them is to store it on a hardware wallet like BitBox, Ledger or Trezor. These devices have to backup your seed in some way. Most devices have you write it on a piece of paper, others back it up on a Micro-SD card. These backups are extremely important as without them you won't be able to restore your funds in case you lose your Hardware Wallet.
However, these backup methods aren't very safe when confronted with nature.
Therefore, if you want to protect your backup against nature you need some way of making it permanent on a robust medium, like stainless steel.
To make that as easy as possible, we’ve created STEELWALLET.
Where is it made? STEELWALLETs are made in Germany. We order the laser-cut sheets from a local metal workshop, have them brushed and then send them to our engraver who does the precision laser engraving. Afterwards we inspect each sheet to make sure it meets our quality standards.
What's in the Box?When you order a STEELWALLET you will receive two laser engraved sheets made out of finest stainless A2 steel, to punch your seed into. Also included is a metal punching pen which makes it easy to punch your seed into the sheets.
