you can not add a avatar. you btct rank is to low. only full members or higher can add a avatar. look at the meta sub forum to find more information or in this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0 thread.

You have to rank up at least to full member to use avatars, then you can add it on your profile section.

Only full member and above can wear an avatar for signature campaigns or anything you like.
there is also one way to have it if you can't be a full member yet.
you need to be a copper member or donate some btc on this forum!

For the avatar feature will be obtained when the ranking goes up in Full member. If you find a member under a full member who uses Avatar try to ask directly to that member. ask for advice from him.

For now you couldn't set avatar in your profile beacuse your rank is still junior member in this forum. In the description you can set avatar into your profile if you are at least in full member rank so you need more activity and constructive post to get merit and become full member.
