So I asked Paul Walsh of MetaCert to include the site in their database of verified crypto sites.

FYI, MetaCert developed this Chrome extension that tells you if you're in the right crypto website. You get a green shield if the site is verified. This is very important for Binance, Bitmex, or even MyEtherwallet as it alerts you if you're being phished.

It really is working!

How do they do it? Manually adds the sites after verifying?

update:
Seems like you have connections with them. How about updating the database with this one...?

Be happy be at peace. Looking forward to BTC at $1M

Yeah, I just reported https://thebitcointalk.net/ to them. Lol, I didn't know there were two phishing sites.

First they added the obvious ones and then later on, crypto community members pitch in to submit urls of exchanges and other crypto sites for verification.

I just noticed there were none for this forum.

I tend to block them myself using the HOSTS file. However, I'm all for protecting users from malicious websites Good job on contacting them, and working it out between yourselves. I haven't checked out the extension yet, but I'll take a look later, and probably recommend it to those that don't want to filter out the malicious websites themselves.

Wow. Thanks OP, I was looking for a chrome extention. And nice job on contacting them. This will not work on phones but it is what it is, and we have to deal with it. OP, you should also add a link to Firefox extension if it exists.

The good thing about it being on Firefox is that you can use this extension on your phone. FIrefox is available to download their the play store, and you can add extensions to it.

Yeah, android version of Chrome sucks. Even though firefox supports extensions on phone, sometimes they don't work as good as they do in PC(it depends on which extensions people use).
I am pretty sure there are more bitcointalk lookalike phishing sites, I don't remember them though.

Definitely, I've used No Script Suite on the android Firefox, and it was incredibly awkward to use, and slowed down the browsers considerably. However, I can't imagine this extension doing that.
