I'm new to linux.
I downloaded the default wallet provided by a coin for linux.
All I now have is a .tar.gz file.
Inside it are -cli, d, -qt and -tx files. Four of them only.
Neither runs. Is there something I need to do with terminal?
Tried random sudo's to those files without any progress.

I don't exactly remember the file but the one you open as an wallet should run and you probably wait for loading blocks then you can use it, if you try all then there must be a problem.

To be honest I don't know if it actually works like that or not but it could cause some problems so a wallet is the place where you store your all the money so it's better to not do any type of experiment with its security system ,one mistake can cost you more than you image.

Which coin is it? we can help you if we know the coin you want to store, I don't suggest using desktop wallets they are very vulnerable, if possible use a hardware or paper wallet for that coin.

I think it's a pretty easy thing to do because all the wallets are dedicated to linux , simply you download and shake it up. In linux , installation will be quite different from the window. You' ll have to use cmd to install the program. When you install linux , you' re sure you know how to install normal programs.

yep, it's really easy to install softwares on Linux os. If one person is using linux, the person should know how the commands of the terminal. if you do not know, choosing Linux instead of windows is just a waste of time. Using Linux with extensive experience and knowledge is much better than using windows.
