Basically the taxpayer advocate is saying that the IRS needs to tell us how to handle bitcoin transactions on our taxes.

That's because the US goverment hasn't decided yet.

OP, thank you for the link.

Unfortunately, the IRS never listens to the taxpayer advocate or to their auditor for recommendations.
