ubuntu two different graphic cards

Hello to all,
I have two video cards, a Radeon HD4870 and a r9 280x.
My goal is to configure both of them to make sure that the r9 mine coins and the HD4870 is free so you can use your PC for work optimally ..

The problem is that the drivers amd are different and I don't know if installing the drivers of r9, the 4870 is seen and is operational.

There is the opportunity to do what?
