But a few weeks ago, many of us here were the victims of a well-planned money grab by ShameOnYou, the main developer of Usecoin. It was not enough for him to use his illegitimate IPO to steal more BTC than most of us make in a year’s wages, but he then strung us along with his lies and deceit so he could rob us a second time with the dump of the extra IPO coins. Once the dev’s deceit became known, the price dumped from 3000 satoshi, down to where it is at the time of my writing, 10 satoshi.
While I have been scammed in crypto several times before, this scam hurt the most of all since the USE dev really seemed to be interested and invested in the future of Usecoin and the swiftly-growing Usecoin community.
Obviously the money we spent on the IPO is long gone, however, this does not mean that we have to let the scamming liars of crypto get away with jading our passion for cryptocurrencies, or with driving us into the poorhouse.
It is because of this conviction, that I am announcing the official community takeover of Usecoin. While the scammer took our BTC, he left behind a coin with a perfectly good code, a super small marketcap, and a strong and able community.
I am just now in the beta phase of relaunching Usecoin, and as I do not have all the skills necessary to do this alone, I need your help! We have the unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a cryptocurrency, and relaunch it into something which actually has meaning and a purpose. Instead of allowing scammers to write the story of cryptocurrency, let’s take the initiative and write our own ending! We have the code, we have the community, and yes, we have the bags--let's take our fate back into our own hands!
