Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, a digital asset designed to work as a medium of exchange that uses cryptography to control its creation and management, rather than relying on central authorities.[1] The presumed pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto integrated many existing ideas from the cypherpunk community when creating bitcoin. Over the course of bitcoin's history, it has undergone rapid growth to become a significant currency both on and offline – from the mid 2010s, some businesses began accepting bitcoin in addition to traditional currencies.[2]

Na syang an solve nung na develop ang Blockchain tech using proof-of-work protocol. Bitcoin is the first program or application sa blockchain platform.

After that, marami na na develop na BFT platforms na sinasabing mas convinient pa raw sa blockchain.

* Blockchain - 1st Gen. *2nd Gen, 3rd gen. 4th, 5th gen blockchains.
* Smart contract*(protocol on top of blockchain)- 2nd Gen. BFT
* Tangle(incomplete at may mga hidden bugs) - 3rd Gen. BFT
* Hashgraph - 4th Gen. BFT

“You can pay for access to a database, buy software or a newsletter by email, play a computer game over the net, receive $5 owed you by a friend, or just order a pizza. The possibilities are truly unlimited.”
- David Chaum

Digital money's specialized establishments go back to the mid 1980s, when an American cryptographer named David Chaum designed a "blinding" calculation that remaining parts fundamental to current electronic encryption. The calculation took into account secure, unalterable data trades between parties, laying the foundation for future electronic money exchanges. This was known as "blinded cash."

By the late 1980s, Chaum enrolled a bunch of other cryptographic money devotees trying to popularize the idea of blinded cash. Subsequent to moving to the Netherlands, he established DigiCash, a revenue driven organization that created units of cash in light of the blinding calculation. Dissimilar to Bitcoin and most other present day cryptocurrenncies, DigiCash's control wasn't decentralized. Chaum's organization had an imposing business model on supply control, like national banks' restraining infrastructure on fiat monetary standards.

Around a similar time, a refined programming engineer named Wei Dai distributed a white paper on b-cash, a virtual money design that included huge numbers of the essential segments of current digital forms of money, for example, complex obscurity insurances and decentralization. Notwithstanding, b-cash was never sent as a methods for trade.

Presently, a Chaum relate named Nick Szabo created and discharged a cryptographic money called Bit Gold, which was outstanding for utilizing the blockchain framework that supports most current digital forms of money. Like DigiCash, Bit Gold never increased well known footing and is never again utilized as a methods for trade.

In the United States, the most prominent virtual cash of the late 2000s was known as e-gold. e-gold was made and controlled by a Florida-based organization of a similar name. e-gold, the organization, essentially worked as an advanced gold purchaser. Its clients, or clients, sent their old gems, knickknacks, and coins to e-gold's distribution center, accepting computerized "e-gold" – units of money designated in ounces of gold. e-gold clients could then exchange their property with different clients, money out for physical gold, or trade their e-gold for U.S. dollars.

At its top in the mid-2000s, e-gold had a great many dynamic records and prepared billions of dollars in exchanges every year. Lamentably, e-gold's generally remiss security conventions made it a famous focus for programmers and phishing con artists, leaving its clients powerless against money related misfortune. Furthermore, by the mid-2000s, a lot of e-gold's exchange action was lawfully questionable – its laid-back lawful consistence strategies profited washing tasks and little scale Ponzi plans. The stage confronted developing legitimate weight amid the mid-and late-2000s, lastly stopped to work in 2009.

It takes a lot of hardwork for them to come out with this. At nabasa ko nga somewhere in an article, dati mababa lang ang palitan, buti ngayon ay medyo okay na. All in all, salamat sa pagbahagi ng brief summary ng bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, a form of electronic cash. It is a decentralized digital currency without a central bank or single administrator, though some researchers point at a trend towards centralization.

BRIEF HISTORY OF BITCOIN
1998 – 2009 The pre-Bitcoin years
 In spite of the fact that Bitcoin was the main set up cryptographic money, there had been past endeavors at making on the web monetary forms with records anchored by encryption. Two cases of these were B-Money and Bit Gold, which were detailed however never completely created.

2008 – The Mysterious Mr Nakamoto
 A paper called Bitcoin – A Peer to Peer Electronic Cash System was presented on a mailing list exchange on cryptography. It was posted by somebody calling themselves Satoshi Nakamoto, whose genuine personality remains a puzzle right up 'til today.

2009 – Bitcoin starts
 The Bitcoin programming is made accessible to the general population out of the blue and mining – the procedure through which new Bitcoins are made and exchanges are recorded and confirmed on the blockchain – starts.

2010 – Bitcoin is esteemed out of the blue
 As it had never been exchanged, just mined, it was difficult to dole out a financial incentive to the units of the rising cryptographic money. In 2010, somebody chose to offer theirs out of the blue – swapping 10,000 of them for two pizzas. In the event that the purchaser had clung to those Bitcoins, at the present costs they would be worth more than $100 million.
