Can't reply to the TENEBRIX thread so here goes.

Win7 Ultimate 32bit system.  No router, USB 3G data card.

This is for localhost:

[2011-10-06 16:38:08] HTTP request failed: couldn't connect to host

[2011-10-06 16:41:45] json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds

This is when I'm trying to use it for Simplecoin's TENEBRIX pool:

[2011-10-06 16:51:10] HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 403

[2011-10-06 16:51:10] json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds

[2011-10-06 16:52:45] HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 403

[2011-10-06 16:53:46] HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 403

so on and so on.

I even disabled all of my firewalls and no dice.

Here's the funny thing, though.  Last night while attempting to mine solo I got the same errors as above for solo mining but it began working for a little while before the errors started back up.  Ran for maybe 15 minutes or so before the errors returned.

Any ideas?

You have the details filled in correctly?

Do you mine BTC? Any connection issues with that?

I mine BTC, no issues there.

The details with the Win32 client of TENEBRIX is pretty idiot-proof when solo mining with the only option you should watch out for is how many threads you want to use.  In my case, two.  But even with one thread, I still get those errors.

What really mystifies me is that is suddenly started to work for those 15 minutes or so before throwing those errors again.

Bueller?

I've seen someone else have this problem but it was with FAIRBRIX.  Nobody knew what was wrong with them, either.

I decided to try FAIRBRIX and it does the same dang thing.

I have minerd.exe allowed in the firewall to use any port, 100% in/out.

But I've even went beyond that and disabled the firewall, no dice.

Like I said, no router, may as well be on dial-up (I use a 3G card, it's treated as dial-up on steroids as far as Windows is concerned).

I really want to use a CPU-miner app ... and they ain't workin'!

OK!  I got TENEBRIX working, sorta?  I had to fire up the daemon - didn't see where it said I had to.

Still gives plenty of errors however ...  Not sure why I'm getting "HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 500's".   Huh

Okay guys restarted the client and all seems well.

About 1.76k hashes per second per core with a 3.1GHz Athlon II @ 3.65GHz with the stock miner (only one so far).
