I'm against progpow  , I'm against because mining programs are oriented for Nvidia. R9 280 270 380 and a lot of old video cards are not supported  Angry Angry Angry

Welcome to the twilight zone. Where simulations are run within The Simulation! Shocked

Realize who is running this show and you wouldn’t need to ask such questions.  Who has the biggest stake in seeing ProgPOW be successful with ASICS destroying (“gpu only” Roll Eyes coins)Huh  Hmmmn I’ll give you three guesses but I’m sure you won’t need them.  Anyway crypto has been owned. I’m done with mining and knowing now how this system works I have no inclinations to ever start back up. Pay to play is here to stay in crypto!   Decentralized is a myth in a world with unequal resources!  What I believe we are seeing is an industry created out of thin air that is now too big to fail. Boy I can’t see how that could lead to any foreseeable issues.  Tbtf now where  have I seen that phrase before?   Think for yourselves question authority!

As in nature, all is ebb and tide, all is wave motion, so it seems that in all branches of industry, alternating currents - electric wave motion - will have the sway. ~Nikola Tesla~

I am all for progpow.

@d57heinz

Yeah it is a bitch chasing when you have to react to their moves.
We don’t have the ability to be the pusher so we are the pushed.

I have 12 1080ti mining BCI
I have  4  Vegas mini BCI

I mine around 110 coins a week. The only reason it works for me to do this is dirt cheap power due to solar array deals.

All my mining in house mines at a loss.

Thus I don’t mine much in house mostly for demos and setups.

The game now is strictly lowest power cost wins.

The power of the network is growing, so why make sense to mess with this old stuff? There to earn that adequate money will not work. Need to grow and pump their vidyuhi. For example, the most effective model GTX 1060, 1070 and 1080 (Ti). With their high price, the payback period is less than six months, which today can be considered the most effective type of investment

It shouldn't matter to you, only support the projects that you believe in with your hash power.  The community will be the one that decides in the end.

We need multiple algorithms anyways, it is too much of a security risk to have everyone coin be too similar in case of a major security flaw.

Logically then, you should then be against all mining software, because generally a mining software typically  supports a limited number of card generations. It really boils down to how dev(s) value their time. It may not make sense to support a few cards that are heading towards obsolescence. To make the most money, they will support the most deployed GPU's. A distillation of this is the fact is that lately mining software now is usually released for Win 10/10X0 card configurations first, then ubuntu, then AMD.

Finally, it's better to have some GPU mining then no GPU mining.

let's then make mining for only one video card rtx2080ti, and how will the new one come out to change the algorithm for a new video card
