OP, did you invested into Bitconnect or something similar?
Altcoins is very risky investment and so many people loosing money. This is why you should invest not more than you can afford to loose.
I mare quite many unsucessful investments, but I can't call it as mistake. It's normal thing that not all investments are profitable.
My worst decision - I jumped on bandwagon and invested to Cardano and Tron just because many people around invested into these coins. I haven't made even minimal research about this projects. Maybe it wasn't worst investments in my life, but I regret that I behaved like terrible not experienced investor.

not to sell in Q1 2018, many alts went absolutely nowhere or do not follow the roadmap. Quite many projects put the hands down and that's really sad and the token became not very liquid. So, the main mistake not to sell the whole portfolio and buy in times more right now.

There is nothing guaranteed in business, just like that. It is a very basic mistake, but mine was also quite basic: bought in an ico with no hype. They reduced the soft cap to avoid returning the funds.

Yeap, the market is full of "great" projects that spend money on wp and marketing, but after fund raising all of them do nothing. It is hard to be investor in current situation.

Personally i rate numeraire nmr and polybious plbt as my worst investments, i gave both of them the benefit of doubt before investing but then after constant dumps i have been forced to believe that the developers of both these projects do not care for investors that is why they never shown any concern for months also there is hardly any progress so yes we can term such projects as dead.

Well since most altcoins or ICO promises great return or guarantee, we cannot really secure our money that a project can promise you a good financial out come. That is why cryptocurrency investment is risky. However, with this risk, there are a lot of projects that really gave other people a massive amount of income. You just need to be careful and invest at the right time and right altcoin.

It does not matter the level of experience you have at some point you are going to make mistakes and that was mine that is why I have decided to avoid icos from now on and concentrate only in bitcoin and other selected coins like monero and litecoin, that plan is very conservative but I know that over the long term I will earn a good amount money instead of losing it.

I believe this was a common mistake which had been experience by most people who do engage themselves into crypto where there are really times specially on our first time encounter into things which do give out easy money or fast profits and due to lack of knowledge and experience on how the market works then we would easily fooled out and being scammed but I do see this as a good thing because people wont learn something if they wont able to experience loss.
