He have deleted the following post I created in his thread:

Quote
Newbies beware. Seller didn't provide proof for the supposed next week delivery when asked.

I actually have some pre-orders with cointerra and they run into several issues and they have not shipped anything to customers yet, not even the december batch.

Saying that he'll have january batch miners by next week is kind of questionable and suspicious.

that kind of threads make me laugh so hard.
i am not saying it is impossible for him to scam, but the whole trust system here is like this thread, based on no proofs.
when you like to call someone scammer, either prove it or get lost

Please learn how to comprehend text written in english, I didn't say that he's a scammer:

Quote
Possible scam attempt

In short:

1: User posts sale thread/auction for not in hand PRE-ORDERS, implies wednesday delivery of Cointerra miners.
2: I asked for proof (email, whatever) to back up his claim, which he denied to give. (He didn't even provide proof of purchase)
3: Considering cointerra's progress they won't ship anything by wednesday.
Conclusion:  Possible scam Smiley

If I turn out to be wrong I won't hesitate to send my apologies to the member

Goat has thousands of BTC already. WTF would he scam for like 20 BTC or whatever he's asking for the pre-orders? That's retarded.  I could see where this would be a valid scam accusation if the seller was a '13 or '14 member, but on a well known 2011 member who has quad digits, it's absurd.

Yeah, if someone stands to lose millions of dollars by scamming $20k, they tend to not scam.

While I don't always agree with Goat, he is someone I would trust with my money. I very highly doubt that this is a scam attempt.

Is that the new way of how things work on bitcointalk? Cheesy

I exchanged pms with the member and didn't like what I experienced and felt I should warn others, hence the creation of this thread.

I find it sad that in this community post count and date of registration matters (only?), maybe that's why there have been a significant amount of successful scams already. ;-)

Don't over-react this thread, I'm not saying that he will definitely scam anyone, but his claims and attitude is more than suspicious and morally questionable.

Did bitcointalk.org degrade to a level where a few old-timers leech on clueless noobs? I would be sad to acknowledge that.
