Folks,

I have an actual bitcoin and am trying to find out if it has been cashed out or not.

Someone provided me with a link with the list of bitcoins. It has a search field, however, no search button that I'm aware of.  It would be next to impossible to scroll through the entire list of 15,000+ codes to see if mine is cashed out or not. Any advice would be welcomed.

Hey Bill,

Just type in your information and hit enter. No need to click any buttons. If that's not working for you, use your browser's "find" feature (Ctrl+F on Windows) and start typing in text to search for. Your browser will highlight matches and you can type in as much of the address as you have.

Once you find your coin page, click on the address (see below for an example) to be taken to a page where you can view the current balance on the coin, and any transactions associated with it if it has been emptied.

Happy hunting!

One other thing to be sure of, if the coin you have isn't a Casascius coin, you won't be able to find it through that page. You'd need to find some sort of identifying information on the physical coin.

RGB,

Thanks for the quick response. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best....lol why didn't I think of that Tongue Tongue

It is in fact a casacius coin and the code I have shows it as unused, however, when I clicked on the address it shows that the balance is empty even though it lists zero received and zero transactions.

A bit of a mystery.

Regards

Bill

You can just use your browser's "find" feature (Ctrl+F on Windows) and search with the specific username the page needs. Your browser will highlight matches and you can type in as much of the address as you have. Just type in your information and hit enter. Once the page is found i guess you know what your page looks like.
