having a forum is not an easy task and from what I understand, in the last few years people have only entered a forum to:

1 - make money

2 - publicize your products

3 - to sell your products and services

4 - get knowledge (a very small number of people create an account in some forum to get knowledge)

The forums have become a big and complicated business

What do you need to add?

Well I would say that you need to look to have a good design like this forum and you should have partnerships with these altcoin creators so that they put their ANN Threads on your forum because only in this way you will attract people to your forum

The domain name now is on sale looking for buyers,

It would be more better if they come up with a different features and deliver a lot more than the firstly mover bitcointalk, just few month ago altcointalk made a feature of teleporting of ranks from bitcointalk to altcointalk. Meaning, if a full member rank register account on altcointalk, the user can teleport his full member to altcointalk without starting from newbie, but under some certain conditions.

Why is everyone disagreeing with the idea of having that domain? It is a very good domain to own and has so much potential of course unless they're not creating to create another Bitcointalk.

@OP: You can maybe have a forum that offers tutorials for someone new getting into cryptos? Maybe a blog or something of that sort? The market is quite saturated on all that stuff but a unique idea can really put that domain to use.
Domain names is - cryptoforum.org There is a word "forum" on domain name and logically if there is anything built on this website, it should be a forum. Even if we consider another case, it will be illogical for users when they see cryptoforum as a domain name and see absolutely different staff on website.

Okay, when you want to start a business, you need a good domain name. Cryptoforum.org is really a good domain .com would be a better choice but since bitcointalk has an .org domain, it's logical.
Just wanted to add(because I'm a freakin nerd when it comes to SEO and these kinds of stuff):

a .org domain would actually sometimes be better for an online forum; "org" is truncated from the word "organization" in the first place. Though it really depends on what kind of look and feel OP has for CryptoForum. Imo, .org's are better for the Bitcointalk-ish traditional style of forums, while .com's would be better for the "trying-to-be-different" sort of style of forums like Reddit and Quora.

But really though, both could work and the advantages and disadvantages of a .com and .org forum wouldn't be THAT significant. It still boils down to management and if the forum actually takes off in the first place(because it's really difficult as fk to grow a forum on a decently established niche).
That's why I mentioned that it's logical that he took .org instead of .com and yes, in this case, .org would function better because of bitcointalk. On another hand, logically bitcoin.com has more value than bitcointalk.org for business purposes.

And how did you manage to come up with that logic? FYI, the forum just doesn't mean an online forum, if you look back at the definitions used by the Romans, it goes beyond your "online forum logic". People don't really care what the website domain is as long it has great content. With your logic, "Facebook" should be a website about book faces? Flawed.

Exactly but people would really have that kind common impression anytime they do make some read on the word forum then they would really be presuming that it would really be a forum.
There are instances which you had mentioned which are on exemption.Forum word doesnt always mean on what we do know about "forum"
Going back, the domain is currently for sale but to expect that even if this one do have crypto word on it then you can expect something expensive for this one.

I have seen a lot of cryptocurrency forums on the internet.
They tend to be different when they announce it, but what they did just copying almost all of bitcointalk useful threads.
I hope you are not trying to build that kind of forum.

If you want to get more users, you may consider to add paid to post feature with Dogecoin.
Promote it in doge community on telegram.
I saw dogecoin become newbie’s favorite on collecting free money.

Advanced or any cool features is not needed in your starts. It is already enough if users can generates free money from your site. Come on, am I wrong?

That's kind of inevitable isn't it?

Many of them miss a trick and don't have well organised casual sections unrelated to crypto. Sometimes you want to talk about something else with the pals you've made. An expanded non crypto bit for various subjects might encourage more discourse and bring in some users. One 'off topic' forum is too general and they tend to be aimless and shapeless.

Domain CryptoForum.org is not free for registration but very possibly is taken by Godaddy registrar. They often occupy domains after they expire, if they estimate it may have some value.

I think I've seen it at least 50 times brilliant business idea, creating a new crypto forum. I was especially interested in the ideas they were called xyzsomethingTalk.
Obviously, everyone can understand how it's work and that is possible to earn money through the running forum, But the fact that is behind a lot of serious work and of course, forum without people lot of people does not worth anything.
So, if you don't have an idea how to attract people to visit and use the forum, you can forget about this schema and no need to waste a time for programming and integrating any addons or whatever.
