The BTClockchain Art Exchange Announces New IAO (Initial Art Offering) Shocked

The BTClockchain Art Exchange’s mission is to utilise new technology in a meaningful and mutually beneficial manner to empower the artist, consumer and existing forms of exchange. We are committed to the responsible development of this innovation. The blockchain art exchange has three main directives.

Solving issues currently affecting the digital art market.

As it stands in the art market digital art sales have a lot of issues, copyright infringement, the reproduction of files and the ability to re sell the art to name the most pressing. Until recently these issues could only be solved by using a fully centralised service where the platform would store, exchange and sell the digital images, the issue here is that these files cannot be removed from the platform without falling victim to the same issues that digital art has always had. While these kinds of platforms solve the main sale issues for digital art they create a new issue, ownership with physical art you can store the work wherever you want digital needs to work the same way.

The Blockchain Art Exchange solves all the above issues and allows art to be traded truly peer to peer as long as you have two people with an Ethereum wallet they can exchange our artworks exactly like any cryptocurrency without the need for our platform. Inferior file types such as JPEGs are also a massive issue in the digital art space that’s why the Blockchain art exchange has its own digital standard to ensure that all artwork uploaded is the best quality and has its objective values clearly displayed.

Pushing the art market into the 21st century

Our second and more long-term goal is to digitise the physical art market, physical format has massive issues inherent in its physicality. Degradation, fires and shipping to name the most pressing issues physical items have we want to switch the store of value in art to the digital object and the physical become secondary. Form the perspective of holding a value digital has vast advantages over physical when archived correctly.

Archiving human cultural history

The Brazil museum fire is a wake-up call for the art world humanity needs a decentralised storage for all its artwork and artefacts this imperative as this digital record can exist as long of humankind does. Projects for creating scans of ancient monuments are already underway, it’s time to take account of all that we have achieved. The sad truth is all physical objects eventually disappear, we need to work to preserve the information and records of our cultural history so that generations in the future can learn from it and enjoy it as we do today, even if it is in digital format.
Some quick notes

1.   Provenance is something that our platform also solves by creating blockchain Deeds of ownership of physical artworks.
2.   At launch the blockchain art exchange will change artists 35%, 5% of this will be slowly given to our community of artists in the form of BAE tokens, artists will receive BAE tokens each time they sell an artwork on our platform.
3.   When the full platform is launched Artists will be able to tokenise collections of digital artworks to get crowdfunding for their ideas.
4.   Resales of artwork using our smart contract will cost 4%, 1% of which will go to BAE token holders.

The BTClockchain Art Exchange will hold a blockchain first, an Initial Art Offering (IAO).

The IAO will launch on the 23rd of October 2018 and run until our full platform is launched.

Basic KYC required to buy artworks over 10,000 EUR from the IAO page.

Our Website: https://blockchainartexchange.com/

The IAO page

The IAO page will be the only place that IAO works are listed and the only place on the platform users can use fiat as well as all cryptocurrencies supported by Shapeshift to buy the artworks. The artworks on this page are the only artworks listed directly by the BAE.   Only nine IAO works will be listed at a time. New ones added only when old ones are sold. The IAO page will continue to exist after the platform is fully launched and work as a place where buyers can pick up a great deal on the newly released artwork.

The IAO will have three phases listed below:

1.   Pre-order Phase
The first phase of the IAO is the pre-order phase. This will last until 15th December 2018 when our beta platform is launched. During this phase, users will be able to reserve IAO artworks at a much lower price that what they will be listed as at the launch of the beta. Users will be able to pay in fiat or all major cryptocurrencies. When this phase ends in December all buyers will be sent their purchase as an ERC-721 artwork token to their provided ETH address. Emerging artists will be sold by auction that ends each month until December while established artists will have a fixed value.

This phase includes the following artists:

1.   David Bailey
2.   Nicolas Dixon
3.   Ernesto Romano
4.   John Luce Lockett
5.   Johnathan Hillson
6.   Mia Wilkinson
7.   Olmo
8.   Ollie Sylvester
9.   Sarah Martin
10.   Fenton Bailey

2.   Beta Phase
This phase will run until quarter 4 2019, during this phase our smart contract will be finished but website function will be limited users will be able to exchange and upload artwork. Artwork will be listed at a lower price, but all sold via auction to achieve a full market driven price. In this phase those who took advantage of the pre order phase will be the first sellers on the market other than the artists, giving a huge head start to this new market.

3.   Launch Phase
This phase will begin when our full platform is launched. The IAO page will become a place where the most exciting and newest artworks will be listed with a discount before being released to the main exchange. In this phase all works will be sold via a monthly auction and will starting prices far lower than normally expected.
