Gox has had massive withdrawal issues for a long time, and yet some people kept on trusting that site until now. Now if you lost money to Gox, can you really blame Gox when it was you who was stupid?

I had no withdrawal issues, at least no more than I had with any other exchanges.  But perhaps it was stupid of me for thinking that they were honest about their cold storage.  However, any exchange may not have enough (or may simply decide not) to pay your balance.

Cryptsy does have speed issues, but I wouldn't be worried about their safety aspect. It looks like a legit exchange with a proper support system run by real non-anonymous people.

If people trust ANY online exchange with any significant coin holding, then that is just silliness.

Quite the ride. BTC back to where it started yesterday afternoon. And that's why you buy the panics.

MCXnow could be compared, but really does anyone trade on there anymore? RealSolid is a crook. I was a newbie to the exchange right before he froze trade. I got coins out, but the deposit I had going in never got redeemed. I had several emails ignored, and IRC chat was useless. Try to call the guy out on his little trollbox and he will eat into you like an immature imp. Steer clear.

Cryptsy is probably an exchange that has similar trends of "mismanagement" as gox and I would not be shocked if they have problems in the future. I keep less than a BTC worth of coins on there.

I was thinking Cryptsy too.

I've seen numerous posts about Cryptsy withdrawals getting frozen and coin balances going into the negatives for no apparent reason.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have the coins to back everything if everyone withdraws at the same time.
