Subject. It should put at least 95% at 12v rails. Max price for new one - 120 BTC shipped to USA.

DO NOT base your purchase on efficiency. Sure it is important to have a minimum of efficiency, but to have ultra high efficiency does not mean a good PSU. besides, your expectations are high, most if not all 95% minimum efficiency 1KW PSUs at 150$ new suck balls. What you have to look at mostly is voltage variation and ripple. Enermax's 1KW PSUs are nice, else the 1200W Corsair AX line is great. Most seasonic are nice as well. A few Antecs (but most of them are not) are pretty damn good too. DO NOT cheap out on your PSU. Better PSU = safer for your system, better overclocks, and all your components last much longer, especially Graphic cards budget 200$~220$ and you should be fine

The reason of 120 BTC mark - I already found good supply for this money and about to buy one. But if someone can do same or better deal for bitcoins - I'd better go with bitcoins.
As for efficiency - I mean amount of declared wattage on 12v rail. not efficiency. I do not care about environment =))

out of curiosity, and I can also help you find a good PSU, what are you going to run on this PSU?

i7-950 - no OC. 2x 5970 with heavy OC. the rest is minimal. probably only wc pump matters - 18W.

1000W is the minimum you can get, and YOU NEED A QUALITY ONE. a 5970 Heavy OCed = 450~460W (normal POC is 400W) or so. CPU at full load is 130W or wtv... Right there is over 1000W, than include HDD, DVD-RW, pump etc, it is WAY over 1000W. Even at 10% CPU usage, you are basically maxing your PSU 24/7 I'd go with 1200W if you want to OC your 5970s. At stock, you have to expect at least 350W full load each 5970... You can pull it off with normal OCs, but heavy OCs are pushing it

12.5V at 20% bothers me :S My PSU (HX850) goes to MAX 12.2V (ie: 1.666667% more than 12V) while 12.5V is 4.1666667% which is 2.5X worse voltage stableness. That is quite bad for Graphic cards that are OCed

on my current PSU (1000w rated =)) I am getting 11.9 when pushing GPUs. So it will be upgrade anyway. Already ordered and looking forward to try it.

11.9V is not that bad, better than 12.5V... better be undervolted by under 1% than be overvolted by over 4%

well... not to mention that when i see 11.9 on 12v rail (which is bad - amperage is getting higher with lower voltage - things know to burn from low voltage if there is no protection), I was getting 2.27 on 3.33v rail =)

WTF THROUGH THAT TING OUT THE WINDOW and under 1% less voltage will not hurt your card at all, even without protection. do understand that under 1% isn't bad... however 30+% is something that you would never let happen usually

There would be scaling in real world usage such as gaming, but for mining, it is using the cores at 99% CONSTANT, no variation between 40~90% like in games

The one caveat the buyer needs to be aware of is that their shiny new ~$330 PSU is only backed with a 1 year warranty. We would feel much more comfortable suggesting your buy this unit if it carried a 3 year warranty at the least." - [H]ardocp Note that the Xion does not have modular cables.

I've used this one for a while without any gotchas. Today I repacked both cards (had issue with VDDC temps due my waterblock design) and started it at 950/1.25v
It worked for may be 20 minutes and then turned off.. 2 seconds later - two big sparks and loud clicks. PSU is dead. Plugged in old 1000W PSU - everything works fine
So this PSU probably is good for stock clocks or light load under overclock (like playing some games). But definitely will not hold up against bitcoin miner =))
