Why should Mark announce anything when he most likely took coins for himself?  Wink

The other exchanges want Bitcoin to succeed because it's their business, I suppose.

how did they acquire the information about gox?  or more accurately what have they been told & by who.  They talk as if gox has already made an official statement

Maybe they've been told, it's a small world at the top, people know each other. The statement has already changed a few times, not sure what is going on there.
But I think no statement from gox can be expected soon, no company will just vanish if it has only some minor problems.

Why?
Cause Mark is a horrible CEO.
He has no idea what he is doing in that seat.
If I had my way I would send him to business school just to see him fail.
