I was considering hoping onto the BFL "pending order" chain a while back. But since they switched to btc only for payment I never did.

Now that btc is 1/2 of what it was, does that mean they are 50% more hosed now since most of the value they had was in btc?

Where do you get that?  I don't think BFL is speculating, they're likely converting to Fiat on the spot.
