From the article:

Not every gamer has the desire means to get the latest and greatest graphics hardware. Fret not budget-minded PC aficionados, for AMD's rolling out a new, more powerful low-end GPU that should suit your financial constraints. Called the Radeon R7 265, it brings twice the memory bandwidth of its predecessor, the R7 260x, which AMD claims translates into a 25 percent performance boost. It'll cost $149 when it goes on sale in late February, and with its debut, AMD's also dropping the cost of the aforementioned 260x to a scant $119.

Considering the 260x achieves 255KH/s and these have double the memory bandwidth, couldn't one assume quite the boost? Plus, at $149 starting price, they might be a great bang for the buck like the 270/270X...

A very interesting card to me!

It is a 7850 with better ram.  Same texture units / ROPs / memory bus, but 1400mhz ram.

I could hit 400khs on both of my old 7850s but it took nothing short of 1200+ on the core @ 1250 ram.  Seeing how well the 270 does with the quicker ram, i would dare say this thing will do 425-450khs without too much trouble.

Expect this card to be the new performance / watt king.   I would ever hazard a prediction that many will get this card to around 100w (stock is 150w) pumping out 400khs+.

Any thoughts on miner config settings that might help get 400Khs. So far i have only been able to 320Khs. If you could recommend something i would appreciate it.
