This website https://www.flippening.watch/ shows a neat comparison between those two projects. We see that the Ethereum transaction count and node amount is far more than that of Bitcoin's and the mining reward from the past 24 hours is nearing that of Bitcoin. Additionally the trading volume is nearly 1/2 of Bitcoin's. Flippening, when?

I personally believe that cryptocurrency as it is today is an on-going and evolving process of whoever comes first to be the suitable cryptocurrency to be used on daily life and the one that will have a reasonable real life usage will do the flipping. Not only Ethereum but some other crypto may do this.
