Many seem to think the inventor of bitcoin should be shrouded in anonymity or that secrecy will somehow "protect" him.

Forget this, secrecy is no protection from anything.

We should be proud and fearless and cast off this this tattered cloak of secrecy. It is hiding nothing but our own fears and nothing more.

Stand forth and declare, This is Bitcoin!

The man himself went to great lengths to preserve his anonymity...it's HIS choice to remain unnoticed, not ours!
