I haven't heard about this site, but upon research I saw previous scam posts about them. Most of the users had a problem like - not receving the deposit even it was confirmed in the network.

Check these:
bitplace.exchange is SCAM - old domain bitplace.exchange
bitplace is scam
Bitplace transaction lost
DO NOT use Bitplace

And the comments on their twitter pinned post:

Based on reddit posts, you're likely to have been scammed.

Especially when you're already waiting for more than 48h for your money, I'd say that the chances that they are going to actually come back and refund your money or complete the transaction for you at this stage is extremely slim.

No point having vouches at this stage either, you've already sent the money.

Should have noticed that they have this absurd airdrop program running as well as a pretty shady "reviews" section on their site that should have raised alarm bells. Take this as a lesson - there are plenty of similar scams out there. Always do research, and if in doubt, don't use the site and do the deal with an escrow wherever possible.

Always do research, and if in doubt, don't use the site

The most simple form of research is to look up the whois information of a specific exchange. If the exchange in question is hiding its whois information, which applies to bitplace, people should refrain from using them. It's mind boggling how people ignore such a simple but yet very effective way to get rid of at least 90% of the scams.

It only takes like 30 seconds of your time to look up whois information, but it saves you so much drama and money in the end. Roll Eyes

Avoid unlicensed, unknown exchanges like these.

There is simply no reason to use them given that there are a variety of other exchanges that are way more trustworthy than this particular site that you can register with, that are also well known/regulated.

This site is pretty shady, in my books. The reviews essentially tell me the same story, as all I have seen have been accusations from people who got scammed. If you already sent the BTC first to them there is probably not that big of a chance you're going to get it back considering that their site seems to be exclusively set up for the sole purpose of luring victims for a simple scam.

Don't ever use exchanges that you haven't heard of before, without doing due diligence. Stick to exchanges that you know are trustworthy and have previous experience with (e.g. Binance, Shapeshift (though not that convenient anymore with the accounts), or even localbitcoins).
