This unexpected result must leave Bitcoin’s opponents speechless. The cryptocurrency seems to resist to every attack, thanks to its decentralized structure that cannot be unplugged. It is good news for the Bitcoin ecosystem because this crisis definitely helps people to discover Bitcoin – even from the bad side – and through medias with poor intentions. This represents a step towards becoming mainstream.

It rises because of the Gox-case imho.. worst case was priced in and happened - meanwhile all good news was ignored. Now time to move on, back to normal and possibly into the next bubble.

I just hope that a bunch of people don't sell, sell, sell, because the price is a little higher, and drive the price back down again. Hold the coins! If people don't sell the price will keep going up!

While I'm not surprised to see a pro-Bitcoin news site write this, it is pretty awesome seeing the price bump up like this regardless of MTGOX, to be honest, we should be just ignoring whatever the media say, because like with people like Ron Paul they basically ignore anything that they don't like and pretend it doesn't exist, these people operate according to how their bosses want and will just post up whatever crap they like. So you can bet that what they'll be doing is spamming 'reports' about the MTGOX bankruptcy and declaring Bitcoin a failure.

I am very relieved that Mt Gox is out of the picture.  I have been smelling corruption since around May of 2013. I'm sure glad I moved all 500 of my bitcoins out of there months ago.  I feel really sorry for all those who have lost because of this tragedy.
Without Mt. Gox to further muddy the water, I think bitcoin will surge in the next few weeks.

Hey, I bought into Bitcoin in last week just after the crash. I bought using Bitstamp. I have just transferred my bitcoins into a offline wallet after reading it isn't safe to leave them on these exchanges.

"everybody" saw this coming since months. maybe this is the fair price people have to pay for their laziness.  Roll Eyes

Exactly it's the good choice to using offline wallet when u just want to keep that for longer time.
