For those of you who know about second life L$, it's quite easy to exchange for Real Life Cash*. I'm needing these bitcoins relatively soon! Have around L$40,000 which is worth about $155.65 USD according LL site.

I really only need $50 worth in bitcoins, but if things go smoothly I can sell more! I will give a more than fair ratio. Just needing these ASAP until coinbase verifies.

Yep, there rates are very bad, and on top of that it still takes up to 48 hours to send the BTC, AND it can only be linden you buy from their site Sad Since linden lab changed their rules you can no longer put your L$ into their terminals. Sucks though seems I was a bit late for all that.

Ah, I see

Yep! Lots of shady rumors around with virwox anyways when it comes to Bitcoins. From what I hear they always pay, but they sometimes hold for a great amount of time, OR refund if the BTC price went way up. That's not really the issue with me, the issue with me is the 48 hours haha. I just have a few things I'm anxious to purchase by monday with BTC. And as I said, willing to go first, since I know after sending BTC it's irreversible. Would just definitely go in small increments for my safety starting out.

I'd try moving the thread to the Digital goods subforum. A more fitting exposure there.

Just used it a few minutes ago to try it out, and yes, the rates are very bad. Payed 20 € through PayPal, bought SLL, bought BTC and in the end I had 15.4 € worth of BTC (according to https://bitcoinaverage.com/#EUR).

Yep, terrible rates at virwox when it comes to BTC. If worse comes to worse though I'll end up using them, even though I will have to wait up to 48 hours. ((Until coinbase finally verifies my bank account.)) Would much rather trade to a person with better rates, and faster speed. If anyone is interested just let me know and we can come to a deal. I'm definitely more than willing to give a more than fair rate!

However, if you already have SLL, you don't have to pay Paypal's fee and the rate for USD to SLL. So maybe it isn't that bad in your case.

Accepting Second Life L$ is extremly risky,
even more risky then accepting PayPal.

Think twice if you really, really trust the person you're dealing with, or you will most likely lose money.

Well, I don't have SLL on virwox, so I would still need to deal with their paypal rates and wait time. Before Linden Lab changed their TOS, SL residents were able to deposit linden to terminals for virwox, but not anymore. Sad

As stated I am willing to go first, and for my safety I would just go in increments.
From another post: http://gyazo.com/539151dc05f4410c4c77cd58607c52b7
I trade SL currency for USD pretty often.
The ratio I came to is this:

L$2,000 ((Equal to $7 - 7.50 USD)) Vs 0.01 BTC ((Currently $6.20))

Sadly it doesn't matter if you go first or not,
doesn't help much if a PayPal-scammer goes first either.

The problem with accepting SLL inworld is, that you can never be sure that those SLL you receive are not stolen (or "fraudulent" as LindenLabs calls it), there's just no way to check that.
If they were stolen, LindenLabs will come and get them sooner or later and probably even suspend your account for a couple of days/weeks.

Not saying you're a scammer, but you might be and even if you're not, those SLL you got might still be "fraudulent" since we've no idea where you got them from.

Just telling people to be careful, their choice to trust you or not.  Wink

Ah, yes I suppose you're right. If the L$ were stolen LL freezes wherever that linden ends up. I get where you're coming from. For those who would be interested in buying I'm more than willing to show the transaction history where I got those lindens, and when. With that said, I'm really only interested in getting a small amount, around $20 or so is all I really need. But just saying I have more to trade if things go smoothly.

But again what you say is very true, and I'm willing to do whatever the buyer needs to feel at ease. I did have a gyazo picture of me cashing out over $3,000 USD already this month through SL, however that could easily be modified of course, and means nothing to someone who has never used SL before! I could share the screen over skype or something like that to show. Just really need these BTCs soon! Haha.
