On September 17, the administrator of the bitcointalk forum issued a new rule on rankings for junior members. They only need one merit to maintain their rank on the forum and have the right to wear their signature otherwise they will be downgraded to newbie

But is it effective?

On the 17th of September, after the rules were enacted and I saw some senior members begin to give their merit to newbie (Including members who have never given their merit)
I'm not sure that high-ranking members are abusing merit or doing anything with it. Because I'm just a grain of sand in the ocean and the weight of the voice is just zero

That's why I say that. Abuse is occurring without any management. Getting merit is a great thing with quality and useful articles. But here's another:

You can report merit donations that you deem unreasonable on theard Meta. Pretty many members do that before - because mods do not have enough time to control those behaviors.
Of course you will see many members become merit sources and the number of members will be more merit. That's the way to reduce the anger of the crowd screaming out there.

17 September 2018 a effective rule is included by forum administrator Theymossir which is very much appropriate in current situation. Current situation everywhere scamming, cheating, and garbous post.  people of unfits persons pollute bitcoin Forum, they don't follow/maintain the rules of forum. By this new rules will reduce forum pollution. After thinking all concept sir Theymos change forum rules and requirements.
