Maybe in the long run, VR will take over. But as it stands, I say the technology is still to raw to match the gaming experience provided by consoles or gaming rigs. I prefer it the old-fashioned way, but it might take off once the technology becomes more refined. For now, I'm happy watching VR work on Ready Player One
I’m interested to know why VR can’t match the gaming experience from consoles. I mean in VR, you are actually immersed into the game. You become a real character in it and not just staring at a flat screen. VR, in my opinion, elevates the gaming experience by allowing the player to truly engage in the game to a point that the player feels detached from the real world.
