Hey i got this think all in a sudden, we know(well not all) that lot of hackers works for government by any means, any missions.

I got this think that the US and its allies can be the one behind this all/half of this hack and steal to press down the Bitcoin progress as(maybe) they try to gain control over BTC network and/or other coin as like they have control of US Dollar in their hand , How? well by getting the coins(without mining/buying it).. they now can buy/sell freely to manipulate the price movement for the good of US Dollar and US interest and big players.

Remember about NSA? they can crack about anything, can enter/hack into almost anything, have all trick and spy to sabotage and i heard they got black fund, thats a kind of fund that u cant see in US Government bill paper, but they got every fund they ask for for any means.

So , what do you think about this?

This thread is supposed to be a democratic debate, free debate, open debate and remember your manner. Any means to silent any opinion from me or other by this site, any government,and/or any people means they are dictatorial , break the universal rule of free of speech , and violating human right.

I've been thinking along these lines too.   I of course cannot offer proof that these hacks were government funded.   I do see patterns though.  We have lots of bitcoins being stolen,  large exchanges being hacked and taken down, an insane amount of malware designed to steal bitcoins, and lots of negative press.  Whoever is behind all this has a lot of money, technical ability, and they obviously don't want to be publicly known.     I don't think they are finished yet.   It is very important to ask ourselves and one another, who is behind these attacks and what is their intention?  We definitely need to spend time making Bitcoin more secure,  but it is more important to ask us why someone wants to take from us or attack something with such great potential to help so many people.

Who has the most to lose by the success of Bitcoin?   I believe it to be big banks,  corporations, and government.   If someone wanted to take down Bitcoin or control it,  they wouldn't be able to do it directly.   They'd have to convince the majority of people that Bitcoin is bad, then, the people would have to agree to let it be regulated, centralized, or shut down.

This whole mess with Mt Gox is just a Kansas City Shuffle.   It's a distraction to make us all look left while the real attack is on the right.   This is a tactic that has been used countless times before to manipulate people and events.    So keep your ears, eyes, and mind opened people!   There is much to learn from what is happening.

No they can't. If you look at all the Snowden releases, the NSA has tremendous reach and intercepted things that is shocking and disturbing. However, none of what they did was technically complex. It just requires a lot of money, power, and boots on the ground.

Virtually none of what they discovered was done by physically breaking encryption - it was open phonelines, emails, unprotected servers, snitches, co-operation from telecom companies, co-operation from companies that release encryption software to introduce backdoors for the NSA etc.

I think it is obvious the state is attacking bitcoin on all fronts.  A coordinated barrage from media and "hackers", a perfect storm so to speak.  In my opinion their main objective is to obtain significant BTC holdings so as to exert control-seeing as much control was denied them by the protocol.  This is why we see them holding the for coins and going after exchanges.  If you value bitcoin, keep your coins off exchanges-deny the opportunity.
