Hey guys,
We're hiring a forum community manager with both deep knowledge of Bitcoin and popular online games like WoW, Everquest, Lineage 2, Diablo 2, Starcraft, CS.
You'll be responsible for answering any and all questions about Bitcoin on our site, making recommendations about services, explaining Bitcoin concepts and technology (at least at a high level). You'll be helping our users to adopt and use Bitcoin by authoring guides that incorporate text, screenshots, audio and video. When you're not busy with Bitcoin stuff, you'll be helping out with general forum moderation and customer service.
Location: San Francisco, CA or the comfort of your own home (anywhere in the world), provided you have the necessary equipment and the discipline to work.
Pay: $10-$15/hr USD depending on qualifications. Payment by BTC optional.
Hours: 20-40 hours/week negotiable.
Duration: This is an open-ended contract position.
Requirements:
18 years of age or old enough to enter in to a binding agreement in your country. English fluency. It doesn't have to be your first language but you should be able to communicate clearly with few grammar mistakes. Fundamental understanding of Bitcoin and ability to teach, research, answer questions and guide new users in its use. Knowledge and direct experience with various Bitcoin pools, exchanges, clients, merchants, forums, blogs and other services. Knowledge and direct experience with various online games, gaming forums and blogs, other gaming services. You keep up with Bitcoin news and things happening in the community.
Bonus: You have prior customer service experience. You have prior experience as a forum moderator. You speak other languages fluently. You keep up with gaming news. You do NOT have a WoW addiction.
