Well, dead tokens mean it's worthless, but before judging about it, do some research and find some information about that tokens, because there is a chance that the tokens are listed on some market exchanger, and if that happens, your tokens will be worth something.

Before you pronounced them dead coins, make a little research on them. Find out if the dev are active, dormant or dead. In whatever category you find these coins, you can decide to keep hope alive or forget them. However once they are dead, there is nothing you can do with them than to leave them in your wallet.

If the coins are not listed then what you said is useful but if the coin got listed and then got delisted then nothing can be done and just forget it in your wallet and move on with other projects coins.
