What is the most reliable and capable hard drive recovery company?

We have a group member with rotational scoring on a drive....he is not worried about the security if the data because it's encrypted and he has all the codes to get in.....just a broken hard drive.

One recovery place already said it was too severe to fix.

Any other suggestions?

If the platters are damaged then it requires highly specialized equipment. Any serious recovery company have them. My best achievement was successful head assembly replacement on 160GB Samsung desktop drive using only screwdrivers, pliers and makeshift holder for head arms.

I really have no idea. I only worked with these guys http://jet.lv/en/service/data_recovery/ and they probably cost less than comparable service in USA.

Few months ago I use SysTools Hard Drive Data Recovery Software which is most reliable  and capable tool to recover hard disk data which is corrupted from any kind of issues. As per my experience, I think you should go for this software.

I've used DriveSavers in the past.  They have a facility where they are able to do platter level recovery.  It is expensive, but the time I needed it it was worth it.  They recovered 100% of my data, immediately put the files I told them were critical on an ftp site and then shipped me the recovered data at the time was on DVDs.

I would like to suggest you if you need the best Windows hard drive recovery application, so you should use one of the best and effective QuickData hard drive recovery that will help to recover lost Windows hard drive data without damaging the files or folders. I also used this application, then i will suggest you.

Recovery software is NOT an option for a physically damaged drive.  Usually scored platters mean particulate matter in the drive which means an avalanche of damage.  Only the best pros should handle this.
