Hey everyone  Tongue

I cannot communicate with other ppl around me regarding my bitcoin mining setup and it str8 kills me lol.. so i decided to make my first post here about my mining pool setup and also see if anyone wanted to share their fibre setup with me so we could expand a little further than the one node we get from their website... which is inc ase anyone is interested and doesnt already have the details here is the link to their homepage and to the github page with the fibre node source.. http://bitcoinfibre.org/ https://github.com/bitcoinfibre/bitcoinfibre (now i was just checking out the branches and noticed a cpl interesting ones, ill report back with my findings on all that Wink ) Setting up a fibre bitcoin node is not as easy as it appears its going to be when reading the instructions on their website, ill save anyone interested many hours troubleshooting and just share my exact bitcoin.conf (privately via msg)

Ok guys, im running on my favorite flavor cloud provider, and thats AWS (LOVE AMAZON BIG TIME) and thats a m4.2xlarge w/ 2000 GB general storage SSD (i used str8 32000 iop first and was sick fast but was WAY to expensive, maybe this will help someone as im working with Amazon now to repair some financial damages accrued [another reason i love Amazon, their customer service is str8 sick])

What i have for OS is Machine Learning (latest) AMI Ubuntu 16.04 - (the good stuff all prepared and ready for GPU if thats what instance you have [i cant afford one lol..yet..]) Got my sysctl.conf hardened and tuned (happy to share that as well) and of course my limits.conf tweaked, as well.. (another happy to share if someone wants to check my settings or copy it) (FTR ive been testing and tuning linux roughly 20 years, went to Keiser College for Network Administration and been hard core crypto mining for 2 years) ive removed the cheapo ufw firewall and use iptables and iptables6 (i have all my rules which are setup for ipv4 and ipv6, UDP & TCP , complimented with rate limiter rules .. and a few handy security tricks for iptables all bundled on a handy bash script that again i will be happy to share.

I use UNOMP as my proxy/mining choice (FTR CK makes a sick proxy/pool and yes ive used it and like it but the website was a bit more compicated than i wanted at that particular moment, i was more concerned with  other factors..) At the moment ive got BTC, BCH, BSV, LTC & DGB ready to mine at any given moment.. and yes i solo mine bitcoin with nicehash and all the other coins mentioned.. i kinda get a laugh when ppl talk about solo mining not possible anymore, i HIGHLY disagree.. maybe with a lone s9 or something, but with the hash power ready at any given moment via Nicehash and SHA being pretty cheap... i do it often.. Heres a suggestion though, it's better to team up with a person or few as it helps a bit and just manually split the block reward.. anyone want to throw down with me just msg me and id love the company and the help.. take note too.. BTC being down right now and with that BCH war crap youl notice BTC blocks easier / lower diff / and also the lower BTC price makes for some super cheap hash power over at nicehash... Wink

Now the fun part... my node setup.. im a huge parity fan and use nothing but them for my solo eth ventures ( again all setup and willing to share my parity config,etc .. team up.. whatever let me know.. but back to the parity bitcoin node.. its still a bit young and im testing but not using it in my setup until it matures a touch more... so i use bcoin for my relay/transaction node and i use bitcore fibre as my mining node.. i connect the fibre and the bcoin node as trusted peers and setup works pretty darn good... if you understand the process that takes place when mining isnt just mining the block but its also a process of being the first person to submit that solution.. hence all this Wink if you are a seasoned vet disregard my lil notes, im just trying to humbly share what i know.. anyways i actually just got this fibre arrangement fully working and ill show a bit of the code im getting now that rather excited me as it pretty much sums it up.. ill put this out there while im thinking about it.. if you want to checkout udp activity simply run this command: cat ~/.bitcoin/debug.log | grep udp & cat ~/.bitcoin/debug.log | grep UDP that will organize all the udp debug info nicely and quickly. Ok here is the new debug info im getting now that appears like everything is playing well:

UDP: Built all FEC chunks for block 000000000000000000057375661f9cd8b494b18bed8a87e4dd550bb484390a0b
UDP: Peer [2604:180:2:113e::cafe]:8333
UDP: Initializing connection to [2604:180:2:113e::cafe]:8333
2018-11-18 19:08:18 udpwrite thread start
2018-11-18 19:08:18 udpprocess thread start
2018-11-18 19:08:18 udpread thread start

thats pretty much the debug info you are looking for to alert you things are working..

Now ive upped my peers from 8 to 75 on the sexy java node (bcoin) ive upped the coin cache, and a few other mods.. ill just share the entire config if someone is interested..

Also let me point out the m4.2xalrge instance im using is pretty cheap FTR, you'll want to spot request it as im doing and make certain to use start syncing your nodes with provisioned IOPS SSD 32000 and switch it to general storage SSD when its done syncing.. thats the difference of $1000 month and $75 FTR, i learned the hard way lol...

As im writing this mess of a slop post (im a miner not an english major Wink lol) i had a good idea.. if someone wants my entire setup via AMI image i will be happy to arrange that to any of my fellow bitcointalk.org miners if they would like .. that included all nodes compiled from source with static libraries, stripped executables in the home directory bin ready to go... im talking 3 months of around the clock work.. im hoping this will buy me some bitcointalk streat cred Wink of course everything is security and no funny business.. i am VERY concerned with my reputation and as mater of fact i probably need to go through and make certain a few private details are made generic or gone first.. but i will defintely whip that special bitcointalk AMI up and have it available for anyone interested here free of charge obviously.. oh yea let me finish listing the contents.. 1 BSV node, 1 BTC fibre node, 1 BCOIN node, 1 BCASH node (sexy java), 1 bitcore BCH node, 1 bitcore LTC node, 1 LCOIN LTC node (sexy java), 1 DGB bitcore node, UNOMP fully configured and ready for fine tuning for your personal solo setup... of course all nodes are synced and ready to go... oh yea every ETH based node ready with a modded version of Sammy007's Ethereum pool but branded for each particular coin from whale coin to Ethereum.. i use redis 5.0 compiled from source and setup for active defrag... there are many more nodes like PAC coin for example.. i just put enough time into this already.. if someone interested wants to help by cleaning up this post please let me know, im over it.. lol i'd be VERY surprised and disappointed if this isn't a hit and/or really makes some people lives very easy for such a sick setup.. again its basically an ENTIRE solo mining setup for any coin that is worth mining anyways ready to go.. whether you setup your config for str8 one person solo or a small team.. or a huge team of miners, thats entirely up to you.. everything is Nicehash compatible and easily passes their server check...

now if anyone can add anything useful please im all ears ill update my personal config if it makes sense.. also again i welcome any of this awesome community to mine with me anytime, id like to hit some BTC blocks while the timing is good.. let me know.. Thanks for all the info to all the awesome members of this community, this is really the only place besides redis to get real info that hassnt been raped with misinformation!!

Shout Out to CK - You are a bit of a role model to me and id love to mine with you or meet you one day Wink

Best regards,

Bettis007 Cool
