Preliminary search for a Freelance Editor/Proofreader

I am the owner of a new startup involved in the Cryptocurrency space. Currently we’re at the stage where we will be needing a Editor/Proofreader soon, to start with some Freelance work on a per article/paper basis. So, I’m making a preemptive post to start sorting through potential prospects to have on hand when we’re ready in a few weeks.

The job would be to read through, edit, and proofread articles/video scripts/other written material. As we are currently a startup, we will begin on a as needed, per piece/article basis. The details of per hour or per article basis will be discussed, however we will be paying quality rates for good work.

This is a real preliminary search for experienced content editor/proofreaders, so the pay will appropriate for the work. Please understand we are looking for real experienced editors with work history in the field. We’re not looking in to hiring work from just anyone off the street who doesn’t really have any experience/background/ degree’s etc. We’re looking for professionals. So please, we’re only accepting resumes from experienced professionals that are looking for some freelance work.

I’m posting here first before extending the job search to other more reputable job sources as we are very much looking to find proofreaders and editors that have a knowledge and understanding of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies. Although not entirely important for an Editor, it will help us with relevance and continuity having a competent editor who is knowledgable and interested in the Cryptocurrency space.

Native English or a Native English competency level is an absolute requirement.

High level punctuation, grammar, English skills.

High level editing skills, checking writing for clarity, flow, and general readability. Rearranging or even rewrite sentences when necessary. More broadly, look at the overall structure of the work and make suggestions if you see areas that may need improvement. Abbreviations, capitalization, numbers, headings, etc.

Ability to complete projects on time and on budget.

Familiarity with online content, formatting, and writing styles.

Familiarity with research, link building, and image implementation.

While we are beginning with Freelance work, as we grow we will have a need for continuous work. Further off down the line, finding people to fill the slot for part/full-time work is the goal. So if growth is an interest to you, it is something we are looking to having expansion into.

Writing and content creation abilities are a bonus as well. In time we will have a need for further writing and content creating. Not to mention if we’re in a pinch, having an extra writer on hand is never a bad thing.

We have a few pieces of work ready in a backlog, but the first job will most likely start in a few weeks when our website is finalized. So this is a introductory search to find a few people to have on hand when we’re ready to begin the editing, finalizing, and posting process in a few weeks. The submitting your resume please include previous works, and expected pay ranges on a per article/per word/per hour basis as you prefer and see fit.

Please, serious inquiries only.

College students with experience, feel free to apply as well, we welcome you! Resume, previous works, and some recommendations might be necessary.

Message me first if interested and Ill give you email to submit your information to.

Thanks everyone for your time.
