In 2013, to the chagrin of the U.S. government, Edward Snowden broke America’s laws of secrecy in dramatic fashion, unveiling metaphorical heaps of the NSA’s classified documents to the public at large. As explained in a number of interviews from his Russian refuge, Snowden believed that the world’s people shouldn’t be supervised incessantly, finding it logical to break the ice on the NSA’s most caged initiatives. So, it should come as no surprise, that Snowden himself is a fan of blockchain technologies and crypto.

Snowden likes blockchain and he say : "Snowden, likening blockchains to a “new form of database,” gave Wizner a single word to exemplify the issue that blockchains solve — trust."

But when it comes to cryptocurrency he say that BTC have “limited fundamental value,” and that "current Proof of Work (PoW) consensus mechanism is flawed", although it also points out some positive things as borderless nature, scarcity, and censorship-resistant. Yet there is no mention of it anywhere that he bought or owned BTC, but he bought some Monero and Zcash.

It is far from that Snowden is bullish on crypto, he just like some parts of technology.

Agreed, he didn't directly said anything that he is bullish in cryptocurrency but he is just merely open to the asset, He didn't even say anything that hints us that he is holding any kind of cryptocurrency in his portfolio. This is another one of those news sources that are giving misleading headlines as clickbait for their sites. On the personality itself, why do you consider the words of Snowden important? I mean he is not even known for his investing skills or anything related to financial growth, I doubt we can consider his words important to the industry.

Why should any one of us care what he thinks?

It's like me having Britney Spears's thoughts over airline scheduling imposed on me.

And if I remember rightly he's primarily a Zcash fan which isn't the most impressive set up by any means.

I like it that he likes it Cheesy
I'd say that crypto press is trying too hard to make up some bullish news. There's no pint. In a bear market bullish news don't matter and people focus on the bearish ones.
I agree that blockchain money makes sense. It will work because the Internet is slowly but surely taking over all aspects of our lives. We used to communicate in the web. Now people shop there, pay using it, store documents and private data. Money is another step.

Everything is clear if you read the article, his opinion about blockchain, BTC and some altcoins he invest (Monero, Zcash). Snowden is made more for people in this world then daily mentioned Buffett, Gates or others "prophets " who makes tons of money and create poverty around the world.

How you get Britney Spears and Edward Snowden in any context related to crypto I really do not understand. Maybe you should read what is Snowden done for crypto community when he published some documents concerning direct BTC and NSA.

I respect his work and opinion, and I wish there are more people like him.
