The section is very hard to browse currently even after making the Invites & accounts subsection. I think another subsection should be made "Gift cards & Coupons" (and maybe Keys too). It should include gift card sales, software keys (Microsoft, Adobe etc.) and coupons (like Bitmain) etc. While the current section should be left for Templates, courses, tools, Boosting services, hosting, domain names etc.

Following your suggestion, subsections are needed for every market especially those in the marketplace board.
It's easy to suggest adding more sub-boards and features but just think about moderators for them; some moderators are responsible for many boards which is surely so hard to maintain.

Almost all sections should have multiple subsections to be specific. But if multiple subsections create then it will require additional moderators otherwise spammer will create more spam post.

I don't understand this argument; what OP has suggested is like cutting a pizza into more slices, not making a bigger pizza.  A moderator ought to be able to moderate a bunch of child boards, since it's not likely that creating more subsections is going to increase the number of posts in each one. 

This is the reason I'd love to see child boards of Meta for discussing merits and for ban appeals.  Already a mod is handling posts about those issues and all the other ones.  To me it's just a simple problem of organization, not one of needing more moderators.  But hey, apparently Theymos either doesn't see it that way or doesn't give a crap.

This is quite true.
You're not giving the mods more work, you're just dividing it up into different parts. In a way this might make it easier for hem. If there are fewer areas where spam can hide, it'll get spotted quite a bit more. It'll alsomake it mroe noticeable if peopel do thinks like bump more than once a day (which can then be spotted and reported by other users)...

Creating sub-boards for ban appeals and hacked accounts would certainly help to clear up meta, and it would be easy to then assign a mod to these sub-boards to clear up all these cases. As has been suggested many times before, since theymos seems uninterested in recovering hacked accounts, even ones with signed messages from staked addresses, he could quite easily give a mod this ability and assign them to this theoretical sub-board to deal with all these cases. Similarly, someone with even read-only access to the full mod log could clear up 99% of ban appeals by posting "You plagiarized, case closed", and flag up the remaining 1% of genuine ban appeals to the global mods.

If we modify the rules to create new topics in that section, we will reduce the number of spam topics, and therefore no need to create more sub-sections.
Most of the posts are from scammers who try to scam others to get one dollar.
If we set a limit for "Jrmembers or members" and then ask each member to prove that the cards he sells are legal or to use trusted escrow, the number of Spam/Scam topics will be significantly reduced.

The more child boards for each section,the less the spam in each of them,and the more it's easy for the mods to spot and take action

The issue of child boards on numerous sections,including meta has been brought up for discussions,numerous times,but nothing has been done and I doubt anything will be done about the OP

Theymos probably likes to take things easy,and doesn't fancy changing much about the forum all at once,it could have it's positives though

I have been calling for this for a while now and have made several threads on the matter. We need more moderators and I don't understand why we haven't got them yet. There are several sub forums and boards that are only moderated by global moderators. Which have to moderate the whole forum and probably don't have time to moderate their dedicated board as much as a moderator who only has that board and maybe a few others.

It makes sense. I would like to see the top reporters in each board and then have a community election on the candidates. That's if theymos is struggling to pick someone. That's the only reason why I see him not actually getting more moderators because there aren't suitable candidates?

They're probably from someone's admin account. If you have one of them you can basically generate them finitely. Some are probably fraudulently purchased or cracked as well.

Exactly. Give some money to the devs, they might spend time on making Microsoft office and windows better (or whatever leys they sell there now).

This is what I have also mentioned sometime somewhere (a few times or even more), but I have always had the answer that Meta is fine as it is.
If we could have those two child boards in Meta (merit problems and account problems), the real Meta would have 3-4 new topics per day, or even less... I know that I can skip those topics in Meta now and I will still find the others, but it would be easier to find meaningful topics among others (were scammers are crying for their banned accounts and newbies are crying for merits in order to be able to wear signatures = earn money)...

@bitart We don't need a sub board dedicated to merit discussion. But I think it would be wise to add a account problems. But it should be limited to ban appeals, locked accounts and banned accounts. Otherwise it will be flooded with "why cant I post images" threads. I think if we can consolidate the above 3 things then it might improve the communication between the community and the admins.

Maybe only allow users to post threads and reply to their own threads. But they cant reply to other peoples threads. Like a personal support ticket. Better yet keep all threads posted in there private and only viewable by staff members and the original poster.

Some of the distinction you propose is already possible with the Service section vs the digital goods section.

A template IS a digital tool. A domain name as well.
A boosting service is a service. So is hosting.
