You might want to show them this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGEQmFL9McU

Some will complain and say: I use facebook to keep in touch with friends and family! If they really wanted to keep in touch, then make a visit or at least a phone call, or video call.

All these meaningless short comments in social media amounts to nothing.

If you're not on facebook, and your facebook friends does not get in thouch within 90 days, it must be assumed they're not really friends. And what waste is it to spend life communicating with such people? We also knows lots of companies are on facebook to "keep in touch" with their customers, but we all know the real reason, to extract the money from your pockets.

If you want meaning, do something in real life with a friend or with family, just browsing facebook to see what's happend or who's done what is rather stupid. I also think that most people who are really content with their life does not have this insane need to share it with everybody else. Some people are in reality more concerned with letting everyone know that they're on vacation to some tropical paradise than to actually enjoy being there.

It's nothing but hillarious when you see all the duckfaces making suggesting poses in front of the mirror, and then doing the same in groups, all for facebook. It's hillarious to be honest, it's like monkeys gone digital. Look at me, look at me - the one with the most likes is the most popular. Reality is quite different than the fake image that most people project on facebook.

Sure, I guess there are good uses for facebook for those not minding their privacy being raped, most people would be much better off without facebook. Most of the interaction is extremely superficial. If you post a nice image, lots of your friends will tell you you look great, but tell them you're moving the next weekend and see how many of them will come and use their saturday and sunday to help you for free. Not many I would reckon. Cheesy

Glad Im not the only who agrees but facebook has disconnected society to what is real and the real issues.  even though P2P is the answer for freedom hey they wont learn about it cause there to busy looking at people statuses, Mark Zuckerberg was right about people, I say about 80 percent of them will care what others are doing.

Somebody should make an "intellectual like button", so the users wanting to press "like" needs to do some actual mental effort to be able to pull it off. I reckon facebook would quickly become less popular. And what about a hate button. Does everybody really like everything?

If somebody with a lot of facebook friends posted a image of a dead cat and claimed he just killed his cat, I'm sure he would get at least a couple of likes if he had 1000 friends. Also, it's quite wrong to display who liked something. Not only is facebook spying on you, but your friends can also spy on you.

AHA - so you liked that "insert some hideous stuff here" on facebook yesterday, what a c**t you are!!! Personally, when I was on facebook previously, I was even reluctant to click on "like", as somebody else could see what I liked. I'm sure there's some algorithm sitting in some dark computer room harvesting all your likes and combining it with other datapoints to see if you're a "person of interest". Wonder how many of the facebook users who think about that. Oh that's right - the only thing they think about is to getting their paycheck so they can buy the newest xbox game. Wink
