Will the Zcash hard fork kill the Bitmain Z series miners?

I was hearing soft fork talk.

A fork may be inevitable at some point if the team keeps talking about ASIC resistance.

According to this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/zec/comments/blvhnn/any_new_information_on_the_zcash_algorithm_fork/ there are no Zcash forks or recent changes in algorythim to make ZEC asics resistant:

No, ASIC resistance is not on the ECC roadmap for the next upgrade Blossom this October.

There were some proposals in that directon, but they currently are not actively working on forking.

TL:DR Not going to happen for a couple years if at all.
