I am not sure if I should put this question to general discussion or mining because it is somehow related to mining but also the fee system.

I have read from several articles that miners seem not favour SegWit transaction because they earn less fee from it:

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/are-bitcoin-miners-making-more-money-small-blocks/
https://bitcoinist.com/bitmains-policy-questioned-as-antpool-stops-mining-segwit-blocks/
https://www.coindesk.com/one-year-later-whats-holding-back-segwit-adoption-on-bitcoin

But among these articles they do not explain what is the reason behind. If people are willing to pay the same fee level of satoshi/byte(vbyte), isn't that miner will earn the same fee with the 1MB (4MB weight) block no matter it is SegWit or not? What is the rationale behind the less SegWit fee?

Thanks in advance.

I suggest reading this article to start with https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2777785.0

What the miners are doing doesn't really matter at this point, It's just a matter of time until everyone starts using SegWit (including services/exchanges) and pools will be forced to accept these blocks.

Bitmain is also pushing BCH so It makes sense for them to not support SegWit as they're using the "less fees" card when advertising BitcoinCash.

OP, if some miners are really anti-Segwit, it's probably more politics than economics. Plus what's holding Segwit adoption is not because of the miners, it's because many of the users, and some services do not see the necessity to use it yet. The fees are fine in legacy, and using Segwit doesn't make a big difference in lowering it.

Who said there was an "urgent need" for a block size increase? Cool
