Dear community,

I am pretty new to altcoins etc. I am wondering if this story about the Bitvault phone is true or not?
Can someone help me before I invest money into it?

Quoting a reply by Story777 of the same question asked elsewhere (on EOT coin ANN thread)

I would like to comment about this and please remember this is my opinion. The information about the company, Maradia Investment Fund is correct. But we don't know who for a fact is Willem Marais.

I am not part of the team but a community member.

I don't blame the guy who wrote the post on Reddit as he and others are obviously surprised when finding out some of the details. Also the price of EOT when initially purchased by some people have seen a significant decrease since their 'investment' in the coin/token. This has added to the woes and naturally emotion. Some people bought a lot when the price was high and now it is not. In no way I am saying he is wrong and in his own admission he does say it may be a legit product. But I do believe he is trying to say caveat emptor - buyer beware. Do your diligence and research for yourself as everyone has their own risk assessment and can afford to lose different amounts. He is providing information and for that no one can blame him.

I have not been told if the content of who is who is correct and when this info was asked in the Slack channel the answer was simple; what does that have to do with EOT?

The truth is nothing and something. We won't get a answer and you can draw your own conclusions.

For a proper assessment to be made whether to buy EOT or not lets look at the facts. This includes a worse case scenario and what we DO know.

Worse case: He is the same person as mentioned on the Reddit post. The papers are dated 2009.

Facts: The company Embedded Downloads is registered under Hein Marais and is technically 100% owned by him. Embedded Downloads uses EOT to encrypt their products and other applications. Further review of Hein Marais would show he is more than qualified to understand this industry.

The other products include Swissbankinyourpocket wallet storage and this is already available and people have received this product.

The crypto-communicator Bitvault has already been made and is waiting to be shipped. We do know the company VVDN Technologies (large company in India and voted 2017 as one of the world’s top 12 cloud engineering service providers) is behind this phone. This is a fact and widely advertised. The hold-up for delivery according to Embedded Downloads is there was licensing issues and was explained on Slack.

To add to the validity of Embedded Downloads the entrepreneur and celebrity Kash Amini is a private investor and was at the London opening on Oct 31st and specifically mentions Embedded Downloads (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XsdQlXCw-A). If you google Kash Amini and EOT you will also find other promotions he is featured on. The quality of production for these advertisements also show it was done professionally and that cost money.

Yes, there is a EOT coin and a token. The coin can be mined (Scrypt) and the token is available on the Waves Platform. You could argue that the waves platform is actually another chain but coins were reserved so you could 'cash' out the waves token back to a coin, hence the price is more-or-less the same. However all assets listed on the Waves platforms are tokens so it can be argued that all assets are on two or more blockchains.

A quote form my previous post "Just remember the EOT tokens on the Waves platform are "really a representation of the currency and as such has value because it can be interchanged, just like Bitcoin and Ethereum are on the waves exchange. This whole process is explained on page 4 of the waves whitepaper, I think they call it an asset-to-asset exchange which makes it possible to list any asset that exist on waves.  Unfortunately waves only has gateways currently for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Waves, Euro and USD...When you deposit Bitcoin into waves account, you receive an equal amount of tokens which you can either trade or even sent via the waves blockchain to another user.. Once you withdraw your tokens are exchanged for BTC and you receive it back into your BTC wallet."

Being registered in Ireland and having offices in India, UK, US, Germany and Japan have given Embedded Downloads international exposure.

The MAIN audience target as suggested by Embedded Technologies is:

   Government communication
   Corporate markets
   Financial services sectors

We also know there was a large premine and that makes people nervous. This has been discussed on Slack with the developers on why and it is because of how the business contracts are arranged. When for example selling a Bitvault phone (or whatever product) in bulk part of the business deal would to preload EOT onto them initially. This may not be for all deals but it makes sense for the larger deals. A government or company buying in bulk will not want to buy EOT at market price, they want to buy into a product and not have all these in-app purchases. Large entities of course will use the product often thus using the preloaded EOT and then will have to buy more from the market at a later date. Having a reserve with the premine will provide this.

Also airdrops and giveaways to other 'investors' have been made.

Please note not EOT will be burnt but instead recycled back, that was a miscommunication.

What we have been told:

CryptoDoc from my understanding is already been developed can encrypt files and will also use EOT.

What we have been told is that there are other tangible products such as a router and cameras, all using EOT. These as we have been told are past the advance stages. We have also been told there is a XBOX game manufacturer in negotiations to develop their portfolio of games for the Bitvault.

In conclusion there are offices in India, UK, US, Germany and Japan. A lot of money has been spent making the Bitvault phone in association with VVDN. A large amount of money must be spent otherwise VVDN would not  support this project and VVDN have helped break into the market in India. Also the advertising production of the videos are not home-made requiring money. Kash Amini has publicly announced his support with Embedded Downloads and even allowed the use of his Lambo to promote it (check out other youtube adverts for EOT). If this was a scam its an elaborate scam with lots of money wasted on working products.

If we took the worse case situation and Willem Marais was part of the team or the brother of Hein Marais and weigh this up with the facts, does that risk for YOU equal the price of EOT? The price of EOT as at to date is less than US$0.01. Given the working products already out and and money spent you weigh up the risk you can afford. Ive made my decision on what I can afford based upon these facts and what could be. Have you?

Best case scenario is its not Willem or if it is him then he has turned over a new leaf. Or at least he is not even in charge but part of the team. Maradia Investment Fund has nothing to do with Embedded Downloads and if it's not a scam then EOT price will rise to the moon.

Please note there will be clarification on many of these points in the near future, hopefully demonstrated in the white paper so keep a look out.

Each person must consider their own risks. Don't allow FOMO to take over and remember caveat emptor!

I was in the slack channel when this all this happend an user showed me those pictures and these links. They have banned this user from the channel

I would like to comment about this and please remember this is my opinion. The information about the company, Maradia Investment Fund is correct. But we don't know who for a fact is Willem Marais.

""The fact is proven in several documents. That it is the same person. Also if you are in the Slack channel you know exactly what is going on, Eotoshi a.k.a. Peter Marais never replies on critical questions and created multiple accounts to shill the coin, and you know that.""

I have not been told if the content of who is who is correct and when this info was asked in the Slack channel the answer was simple; what does that have to do with EOT?

There is proof that the founder and his little team is manipulating the price by shilling the coin with false rumours, the product is legit, but the pre-mined coins and the distributed amount o partners is unknown.

The truth is nothing and something. We won't get a answer and you can draw your own conclusions.

This makes it more suspicious, Peter Marais had all the time to say that the person in the Reddit story is not him.

For a proper assessment to be made whether to buy EOT or not lets look at the facts. This includes a worse case scenario and what we DO know.

Worse case: He is the same person as mentioned on the Reddit post. The papers are dated 2009.

The court took place at: Dated: This 5th day of November, 2014.

Facts: The company Embedded Downloads is registered under Hein Marais and is technically 100% owned by him. Embedded Downloads uses EOT to encrypt their products and other applications. Further review of Hein Marais would show he is more than qualified to understand this industry.

Strange that Willem Petrus Marais is the one who is marketing the product, while he is not registred in the company. Perhaps it is all thought about it.

The other products include Swissbankinyourpocket wallet storage and this is already available and people have received this product.

A trezor better, the only advantage from this USB stick is to store EOT Tokens

The crypto-communicator Bitvault has already been made and is waiting to be shipped. We do know the company VVDN Technologies (large company in India and voted 2017 as one of the world’s top 12 cloud engineering service providers) is behind this phone. Proof with date please.

To add to the validity of Embedded Downloads the entrepreneur and celebrity Kash Amini is a private investor and was at the London opening on Oct 31st and specifically mentions Embedded Downloads (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XsdQlXCw-A). Due all respect what you just mentioned is absolutely bullshit, their marketing is everything except professionally.
In this video they use iPhones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_VFNoqikqI
In this video at 0:38 Kash Amini, unwrapped an used/old phone out of the box: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XsdQlXCw-A

However all assets listed on the Waves platforms are tokens so it can be argued that all assets are on two or more blockchains.

Also mention that the pre-mined coins can always be converted to tokens, they claimed that they use the 100m Tokens for pre-loading the devices, but before they did that they distributed an unknown amount to ''partners'', since Peter is like a schizophrenic person with multiple alias on slack, there is a high possibility that they belong to these partners

A quote form my previous post "Just remember the EOT tokens on the Waves platform are "really a representation of the currency and as such has value because it can be interchanged, just like Bitcoin and Ethereum are on the waves exchange. Large entities of course will use the product often thus using the preloaded EOT and then will have to buy more from the market at a later date. Having a reserve with the premine will provide this.

For new investors please keep in mind, the pre-loaded total 100m EOT coins must be all burned before the users are going to buy the EOT token. This is a serious issue for the longterm if the price from an EOT token is high people will not buy it. Therefore, the products will become useless

Also airdrops and giveaways to other 'investors' have been made.

Financed by the $3.400.000,00 from investors?

Well many people who bought the coins at $3 are financially screwed

Best case scenario is its not Willem or if it is him then he has turned over a new leaf. Or at least he is not even in charge but part of the team. Maradia Investment Fund has nothing to do with Embedded Downloads and if it's not a scam then EOT price will rise to the moon.

Well the comments from YouTube tells a different story, if it wasn't him why are people looking for him?

Please note there will be clarification on many of these points in the near future, hopefully demonstrated in the white paper so keep a look out.

On the surface it seemed promising, but there never was a bitvault. The imaginary bitvault was the bait to lure investors into EOT. EOT is the peter marais (aka eotoshi) scam coin.

Hi Gents

Hope you're well, I'm Kash Amini the initial investor in EOT (Bitvault).

I came across your Thread on google and can understand and relate to your frustration due to this matter as I'm in the same situation as yourselves.
I first invested in EOT, having belief in the project just as all of you on this basis I also allowed my name to be used for advertising as well as my Lamborgini.
However I never had any direct involvements with this company or the people behind it whatsoever, and once I came to the understanding that things weren't going down correctly there I left any associations to the project. I would therefore also appreciate these associations to be removed on the web, as it now comes up on google search and I'm kindly asking you to remove my name from this thread.

I'm sure you both have the understanding the urge of this matter and will coordinate with this which would be appreciated.

Many Thanks.

I thought I would provide some up to date (January 2019) information regarding this guy. He uses the name Peter Marais. He is in fact the same person who was convicted for fraud in the USA under the name Willem Petrus Marais. He uses a British passport and has been found to live in various addresses in the South London, Surrey area of England. He moves around frequently and uses a pay-as-you-go mobile phone to avoid being tracked. He is currently being investigated by the police in several countries on suspicion of large scale Bitcoin fraud and obtaining money by deception. His brother Hein Marais is currently under police investigation in Ireland and charges of theft have been brought against him by the South African police. There are are a large group of investors in several countries who are taking legal action against both of them for the return of their investments. They were running a scam known as Bit Tec whereby they took money from investors and promised to buy Bitcoin on their behalf and return the Bitcoin with interest after an agreed number or months. No investors have had any Bitcoin or money returned to them. Legal and criminal action is being taken against both of the Marais Brothers for the return of the investments. I would strongly advise that people should not get involved with any dealings with either of these two people.
