First of all, you must accept that the mainstream news is not going to provide you with news that can help you until it’s too late.  The news is designed to report things ‘as they happen’ i.e. after the fact.  This virus is reported to have a 5 day incubation period which means you can be infected and not show symptoms for 5 days.  The bad news it has a high rate of transmission R0 2 to 4 depending who you ask.  Good news, it’s easy to avoid and if you catch it, there is a 3% to 5% fatality rate.  Babies and the sick and elderly are at most risk.  Here’s a simple list to help you stay safe and keep your family and those around you healthy:

-Masks don’t help.  If you need to travel or go to public places by emergency, wear respirators and gloves at a minimum, if possible mask and respirator with body suit.
-Avoid travel.  Airports and airplanes are the vectors for transmission.
-Learn and understand.  Organizations such as the WHO, CDC and others are not always ahead of the information curve.  If they were, there would be no Pandemics.  Governments also may disseminate information as it benefits them, especially those in countries like China where they explicitly control the media.  What’s on the News is ‘reporting’ of what’s happened but it’s typically a slice of what’s going on inside of a big information cake.
Develop alternative information sources.  Don’t rely on TV and if you insist on watching TV, develop alternative information sources.
-Stay healthy.  A virus is an attack on your immune system, the more healthy you are, the more likely you are to survive.  Eating as much organic foods as possible, taking vitamins like C, Zinc, D3, BComplex, and others cannot hurt.  Avoiding unhealthy junk foods, fried foods, potato chips, sodas, and other useless junk can only help.
-Avoid public places.  The benefit of living in today’s world is you can online deliver what you need, and go out only as needed.  If you work from an office, try going early to avoid crowds.  Leave late, and avoid contact with others.  Who knows who was just in London, who meet someone from China.

I've been researching this virus quite a lor, and I'll probably start a cui bono thread about ti.  Some of the facts tht I find credible are-

The incubation period is up to 5 weeks, and symptoms may never appear if you have a healthy immune system, and manage to neutralise the virus.

It is asymptomatic, and this means that it is infectious before symptoms appear, and after you have "cured" yourself.

The virus replicates itself through RNA and not DNA, and this means it mutates rapidly and frequently. This will make it hard to develop pharmaceutical products to neutralise it.

It seems to be man made, and developed from the SARS virus. SARS killed people too quickly, and this slowed it spread. They have learnt from this, and the coronavirus is a much longer term project. People with weakened immune systems, such as the elderly ( pensioners ), babies ( there are unlikely to be jobs for many of them when they grow up ), drug addicts ( possibly not the most productive members of society), and those who rely on pharmaceuticals and vaccinations, and thus have weakened their immune systems.

As the most unhealthy of the developed nations, The US should be extremely concerned about its arrival in America. This virus may well be the reason that vaccines were switched from being beneficial to being eugenics tools.

Remember that I am not a doctor, or a biologist, but just someone who ties a number of facts together, and doesn't believe that everything is a coincidence.

Eat healthy foods, especially over boiled anything you wanted to eat so there will be no trace of any virus in your food.Better avoid eating outside where foods are made with less hygiene even if is if high class restaurant. It seems there are some preventive medicines getting developed hope it will be complete soon and give the people to avoid fatals.

Is anyone here panicking and buying a lot of supplies?

I did around January 23 when the first reliable news start coming out of China.

More specific, did you buy medication? what did you bought?

For me it is natural we are just securing our families health .
It is better to be safe than sorry when it comes to this matter after all not everyone could afford to be hospitalized ,
Or we couldn't afford to be sick for our family.

Coronavirus isn't that big of a deal right now but it can turn into an issue that will cause a lot of suffering if it isn't dealt with. Cornavirus has a genome of nearly 30 kilo bases which is abnormally high and has a high rate of transmission. It's not something we've necessarily seen before but researchers are sanger sequencing the genome and using similar pathogens and viruses to draw comparisons. The only concern right now is the lack of information we have about the virus. Death rates aren't particularly concerning and weakened immune systems are the point of target.

I'm glad that the post states that the most important thing is human immunity. As a person who studies biochemistry and naturopathy, I can say that those people who eat raw plant foods and lead a healthy lifestyle will most likely not be able to die from this virus. This is not propaganda, just a statement of fact, because I am interested in helping other people.
