Blockchain.com password error after 2FA reset

Hello,

I have reset my blockchain.com wallet google 2fa.I have waiting  about 2 weeks..And i get email that reset successful. But now i get error that my password wrong.
Why password after reset wrong? I know its 100% good. Blockchain changed password?
I don't have backup words.

Blockchain.com won't change your password, at least not without telling you and cannot do anything If you lose it either.

You should have a 12 words backup. If you have it, you can use it here to recover your wallet.

No i don't have 12 words backup. And why password wrong? If i have 12 words backup i don't need reset my 2FA. Then why blockchain have 2fa reset function but after reset password wrong.

simplemachines0, your password should not change if you just reset 2FA, and if you are 100% sure that you type correct password, and you do not have 12 words backup, only way to maybe solve this problem is to contact blockchain.com support and explain what happened exactly.

The password can not be changed by itself, so there are several possible explanations :

- Password is somehow changed during the process of reseting 2FA.
- Account is hacked and password changed / check your coins addresses on blockchain to exclude this possibility.

Without the 12 word seed, you have a fairly low chance of recovering your wallet. I doubt blockchain.com's support would be able to help as they have no access to it, hence why there's no "forgot password" option.

Do lucius advice and check your address(es) in block explorers so you'll have a clear gist if whether its a case of compromised account or not.

Lastly, an advice to prevent this from occuring again! Never use web/phone wallets to store huge amounts of money as you'll be exposing yourself to risks that other types of wallets don't have.

Asking here won't help you. It's better to ask Blockchain support directly because they can help you and they know what have you done with your account. We can only give suggestions and guess, but they can do a thorough investigation. Have you create a support ticket or contact their customer services? Do try it.

But asking here first will give anyone in need with siimple guide on how's and etc. But yeah, asking blockchain might help, but for this issue, same answer you will hear from blockchain staff related to a wrong password with a lost/unbackup seed like what Lucius mentions.

That's what the use of this forum asking information before having decisions or gather a piece of knowledgeable advice from those who have experienced here.

@OP, by the way, is your problem now solved? All information was stated above I think there's no reason you can't recover your wallet account in Blockchain.com. You must have a lesson to learn here, first always keep your back up seed(it must be 12 words mnemonic).
And second is when making a password make it sure it is correct.
