Is this correct assessment? It is not profitable that's true because of greedy or scammy advertisement service provider. What they don't understand is they will also get killed if Faucet services stops. It's negative motivation to crypto collectors or followers and also negative to crypto-currencies itself !! Is it not? As it failed / lack to gain momentum or motivate use anymore...
There is no single entity who is leader or fair enough to accommodate everyone like google or facebook as Ad platform!! Always service provider shown arrogance toward Faucet owners or Advertisers. It's time to die for them.

But there is a ray of sunshine... difficult but not impossible. However, it seems that you have to carry a few shady adds to make ends meet.
There's another way of course - referrals. If you don't fancy setting up a faucet yourself you can still make money by directing other people to sign up using your referral link. There's still money to be made, although not as much as a couple of years ago.
