Several cryptocurrency investors are enthusiastically waiting for the final decision of the U.S. SEC on whether or not a Bitcoin ETF eventually becomes a reality. Since the Bitcoin price is not soaring dramatically, crypto traders are now waiting for the exchange-traded fund (ETF) to recover the entire market. Nonetheless, the senior analyst at Fundstrat Tom Lee, highly believes that Bitcoin - the leading cryptocurrency by market cap doesn’t want an ETF to end 2019 vividly higher.

Lee avowed that regardless of the chances that the ETF will be suspended or even rejected, the crypto community still have a fruitful year for digital currencies in 2019.

Ending the year above $3,900 isn't some great achievement considering we are currently sitting at $3,800. Regardless, your title is a bit misleading - the actually quote was that $3,900 is "good", but we will end the year "much higher". How much higher, he doesn't quantify. And anyway, this is just another baseless speculation. It doesn't matter if it is Warren Buffet, Changpeng Zhou, John McAfee, or your mate down the road. End of year predictions are just that - predictions. No one knows, and you would be a fool to trust their speculating.

They do keep on speculating blah blah blah.~

Rejected or not, this ETF would have significant affect it might not solely increase the price but the hype it would give into the entire market
which would drive or lead on such price increase.

Can we just stop having this kind of 'news'? I seriously don't care and don't understand why some baseless assumption from people can be a news article. Would rather read meta drama than news like this. People who throw around prediction with such conviction most of the time end up in the wrong place, without any shame though.

It goes to show how some news sites have nothing better to feature anymore or are just desperate for the views by twisting the headlines. People like to hype over simple news such as these. Even when there's hardly any bearing, people like to assume that predictions such as these would make a difference. Or its possible that people are trying to create a hype even with nonsensical and baseless news such as this to somehow affect the price. People would grasp on to any positive news with the hope that it will generate enough positivism to allegedly have some effect on the price. But personally, I don't think that news like this should be news at all.

With or without ETF, $3,900 won't be the price that everyone want to see at the end of this year. And these predictions doesn't bring significance to the market anymore. We're on a speculative market but each of their predictions or speculations are always trying to bring hype.

They seem to give some safe predictions by not giving too much expectation for this year. People are tired with these assumptions that won't really happen at the end of the year, we just learned from it last year.

I'm just going to base this comment off the headline and the smattering of text I'm reading in OP but... this is how the year ends on a high note? Above 3,900 when the year's already seen a high 5% more than that?

I said it last week and I'll say it again. It cracks me up to see the so-called bulls talk about such low numbers. Good. I love it when they're all shrinking back from bold predictions.

The adoption of cryptocurrency is growing and the price will grow too. All of us is waiting for bitcoin halving because this event has doubled the price always before. So the $3900 mark is unreal as for me.

wow , this is such a bold prediction!
above 3.900$ for btc by the end of 2019 , so many stars should allign for that to happen
its a new strategy , instead of saying it will go to 750.000$ , the cryptocurrency in-house clairvoyants taking baby steps: 3.900$ , over 4.000$ by the end of the year, etc.
probably the only reasonable statement of the article - ETF or not , the year is going to be fruitful for cryptocurrencies, cannot argue with that

Yes, it is essentially saying "in a year Bitcoin will trade at a price higher than today", which is like the most useless bullish prediction ever imaginable. Really, the only thing it says is that the person who made it believes that Bitcoin won't fall further in one year. If this is the sentiment of the bulls, then it is possible that they will even turn bearish soon, if they have so little faith in the price.

The thing people here don't seem to get is that these predictions usually are to counter other predictions. I have seen a lot of bears throw around with $750-$1200 predictions as being the bottom, and when you take that into consideration, a prediction being higher than $3900 isn't all that bad.

It's a bit unfortunate that it's yet again Tom Lee we're talking about, but discarding the person behind the prediction, it's just about a fair prediction. $6000 is better than $3000 right? Now people can only dream of the $6000 level. I'm sure that if we do happen to fall to the aforementioned lower levels, people will think back about how $3800 wasn't all that bad either.

highly believes that Bitcoin - the leading cryptocurrency by market cap doesn’t want an ETF to end 2019 vividly higher.
I remember a few months ago when we thought the bottom of the price was at $ 5000 or $ 4000 based on the return from mining and the acceptance of Bitcoin by MarketCap.
The year ended, with all the speculations on the price of $ 1000 or $ 20,000. The price is closed at $ 3000 range and the hopes are still positive.

In other words, there is no logic for the price to remain at $ 3900 by the end of this year.

Tom Lee is already a laughing stock and he's trying hard to become an even bigger one. In 2018 if you took every prediction he made and did the opposite, you'd have made money. Is this going to be another one of his readings from a broken crystal ball? Or maybe he's using a magic 8 ball for his TA?
I agree with one thing, we don't need an ETF.
