It was a hugely embarrassing moment for the United Kingdom following the leak of secret cables where the UK ambassador to the US calls the Trump administration as “incompetent” and “insecure”. This comes at a time when Britain is looking around the world for lucrative trade deals and needs its biggest ally (US) by its side. Trump would never forgive this and blasted the Ambassador along with the outgoing PM May.
The Ambassador made the fundamental error when it comes to the art of diplomacy. Keep your personal feelings away from the official work. Your mistake can cost the entire nation to pay for it. Trump has now got an extra point to bash Britain administration and it will surely come up in their future discourse.
