Hello..I was using a mixing service and the power went out so I was unable to save the recovery key.

I have the address that I sent to.

Would the owner of the site be able to recover my funds from the site and provide them back to me based upon me giving them the wallet address that I sent the funds to?

Thanks for all of your help and expected responses.

Yikes. That's what you call unlucky.

Anyway, you might be able to prove that you're actually the sender by signing a message using the address you used to send the BTC, or probably by sending 1 satoshi. Try contacting the website's support and hopefully they could help you. Just hope that they still have access to the recovery seed they gave you.

Which specific Bitcoin Mixing service?
Most of the owners and developers have an account here on bitcointalk that you can contact.

Or post to their official threads, ex:

[Also, this should be moved to Service Discussion board.]

I think mixing services don't necessarily keep seeds for their users as one way of protecting them, though they might have something else to help OP with the issue should he be able to prove that he indeed was the one doing the mixing with the occurrence of such an unfortunate event. Best thing to do is contact support immediately and do not let this issue go on for long without them being notified as this might lead into further delays of OP's funds.

Best of luck!

Not sure about other mixers, but ChipMixer provides you a seed that allows you to restore your session up to 7 days. If you don't manually end the session and have the data be erased, ChipMixer automatically will after 7 days.

Another thing that might work is to dig through your web history and cookies, it might be that the seed is saved there (in case you didn't instruct your browser to erase web history after closure).

Web histories and cookies saved me a ton of time (and money) on potential buys that I may or may not have regretted in the future. If OP is using Chrome on Windows, it automatically takes you back to whatever it is you're viewing at the time before your PC unexpectedly shut down. It basically is a life saver on most occasions when you accidentally closed all tabs or your PC ran into some trouble.

Just hope for the best that the mixing service your using supports saving sessions like what ChipMixer does.

Just pray that he didn't make use of incognito/private mode because nothing could really be saved. In that case he wont really have any option but to contact support and do ask for further instruction
regarding on the transaction.

There is only one option left for OP if the aforementioned option isn't viable, which is signing a statement from the address the coins were sent from. If that's not possible either, then I hope for OP the amount is very small.

I really hope it's not sent from an exchange, because that means it's officially impossible to regain access to the funds. That's why you should always first withdraw to a freshly created address of yourself, and then mix it.

I know beforehand that an exchange won't sign messages to help someone who really needs it, and even if it is possible, an exchange might not be interested to cooperate. It's time consuming and doesn't make them win anything.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

ChipMixer is best when someone needs to mix bitcoins. They give you token per session and customer can recover the mixing process with recovery token.

People will try to help you, BUT, people could try to scam you too. The only thing you should do right now is contacting the service that you have used. IF they can´t help you, open a new topic explaining the situation and the community will try to suggest something to do.

Mostly of Mixers have active help topics here on Bitcointalk. But you should contact using the official channels they provide on their website.

I dont know much about mixing Service but if the mixing service can give you the the seed key then it means that they are storing the seed key of all the transactions of the users which is a very serious threat for the users wallet. So i think how they are going to help dont know, will be watching the progress of this problem as wanted to know the end of the result of your problem.

Its rare for Exchangers to help out a specific user when it comes to private keys/sign message request unless if you are a huge volume trader then they
might consider or give you a chance.

We are all waiting for OP's response yet he haven't came back to tell regarding on the updates.
