I recently came across https://republic.co/ and was wondering if there were any other crypto focused accredited investor portals.  Also want to find one that has no up-front fee.  We looked into coinlist last summer and at the time they wanted $50K upfront plus 2-3% of the funds raised.

Recently learned that advertising a Reg D 506 b sale inside an accredited investor portal does not count as general solicitation so it'd be nice to be able to reach new investors.

What do you actually mean when you talk about crypto accredited portals, are you not referring to ICO or STO , STO are very much regulated by the government and they are investment platforms where investors can invest money into a project in order to make profit in return in few months or even years, one of the popular company that carried out an STO recently is binance exchange which is the most popular crypto exchange in the world.

I don't understand the part you are talking about down payment, maybe you can throw more light on what exactly you are looking for.

If you are the creator of icos and looking for accreditor portals and do your best and try to contact binance. That will not give you a lot of guarantees but most investors are putting their eyes into the exchange launch pad system.

And considering binance with a very high number of users, projects are most likely to succeed. Knowing how picky binance is even in listing coins, people might believe anything in their lainch pad is good. Example is the BTT.

The sites look so confusing cause going through the website I found where they said invest an amount for a turn over and that makes me feels as if it a scam. What is the website offering really is it an advert platform for new projects or they are running a reward system on they own.

Initial Exchange offering (IEO) its what they call it this time. Initial coin offering (ICO), Token exchange (TEK) and what ever they may call it, its all the same. Its collecting funds from investors, IEO was already done long time ago when bittrex use to host some ICO. I once participated in the DAO which later one was hacked.

Now when you say Accredited Investor Portals? Who made the "Accredited"?

I think that TS meant accredited investors, that is, those people whose income should exceed $200 000. And for such investors it will be interesting STO (Security Token Offering).

and to add also, the Fetch.AI project, sold in less than half minute. i am wondering what is the real deal with binance in an arrangement like that? what is their major role after the token sale?

in my opinion, if you totally believe on your project and you don't have the up-front money to this so-called accredited investor portals, better run your own ICO. these portals are just one money-making machine. they care for the money that they can get. just make sure that you are also running legit and not the likes of pump and dump coins.

How are they gonna to find the credibility of investors in accredited investors portal? Sounds very confusing to me. Why do they charge an upfront fee for this purpose?

I'm afraid binance could be associated with pump and dump coins in the future, I hope it won't happen.

At the moment, it so hard to have a successful ICO even if you are totally a legit team and has a very good idea. And I would understand why other projects would pay money for these portals to ensure a higher success rate. I just wish that these portals are truly doing their job not just accepting those who can pay them most.

They verify that the investors meet accreditation status, this can be as simple as verifying they have $1000000 worth of crypto in a wallet they control or a letter from a lawyer saying that the investor is accredited.  The purpose of this is to comply with US fundraising regulations.  All it really does is add unnecessary barriers to entry to fundraising.  The platforms charge the upfront fee because they can.  Coinlist lowered the upfront fee and it's now 20k instead of 50k.   These platforms are working off the fact that the SEC is unpredictable and will call any crypto a security even when it's not, even when it's not in the publics best interest.   Seems there's a lot of corruption going on with the SEC surrounding currencies.

Our coin fails the howey test so it isn't considered a security, however the SEC may not agree until we release the beta version of the project.

Most of the ICO/STO platforms charge significant fees to list your coin on their site.  Coinlist was charging $50k last summer, now charges $20k, I'm not sure what republic charges yet but I think it's somewhere between 2k-5k upfront.  They also typically charge 2-5% of the proceeds from the sale in addition to the upfront fees.

This website is just another website like ICObench that promises to have projects verified and you realize that you end up wasting money as an ICO project manager registering with them, most of them still end of registering projects that will later turn to shitcoins, if you take a look at the caption on their site, it is even very discouraging because they are not guarantying that the projects they have listed will succeed. The caption says “earn a return if the startup succeeds”.

So, rather than looking for all these websites, why not just go through exchanges IEO, at least, investors have more assurance in them than other ones.

Nowadays, investors will prefer to investing through ICO portal or platform to be ensured.
For example is binance launchpad, there were many projects succeed raising funds there.
Another exchanges are begin to run their own IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) on their own exchange platform to get investors.

But have you looked at the IEO option, though I don’t know how much Binance charges for their Launchpad but it will be the best platform for you to really take advantage of now that it is still new and gaining attention of great investors and if you really want to meet up with your target without much delay.

You seems to look like a very serious and committed developer, though I don’t know what your project is all about yet but whatever the project is, I do wish you best of luck and I hope you get all the necessary support you need, kindly update us from time to time on the development so we can also partake in it and give you necessary support from our own end.

The website you provide is more like a startup portal than a ico portal. There are a few websites like this, but I don't think they're successful. Currently the trend IEO. You should look at the ico's on exchanges like binance.

IMHO right now best place for ICO is the different exchanges with their launchpads. Over places working not so well.

That's a portal for accreditor investors to invest their money but that's not work in the cryptocurrency. OP was looking for a site that used by accredited investors to invest their money but it looks not possible to get it right now.
