What happened to Preev.com ?

Hi,

It seem that Preev is down for the moment, or their server on Heroku is not yet paid, or transferred their app to Heroku.

Any infos ?

Yes its down. Mostly be the case but lets see if the site would be up once again.I've been using this site on checking btc price.

I have also noticed that Preev.com is down because that's where I check the price of bitcoin every hour.
I don't think we should worry about this to much, since this has happened before. They are probably working on maintainance and in short time it should be up and ready to go. They have not announced anything about closing it or something like that so no worry about it.

Preev's security certificate went down like a week ago, a week or weeks ago before the website itself went down. My guess that the developer probably abandoned it. I would guess otherwise if the security certificate didn't go down.

That's pretty much what I was guessing too. Not even referral links or promotions. and I don't even remember Preev.com having a donation address.

There is no app configured at that hostname.
Perhaps the app owner has renamed it, or you mistyped the URL.

A day later, the same user reported that the site had returned.

Hell, who is developing that site, and how does it gain from developing that interface?
I read some comments and found no answer. Unknown site and unknown developer.

I have some telegram bot of CMC so I don't bother visiting the site anymore just only to see the price, it will just notify me for every 2% (I guess) change of the price.

Preev is online again as what I see and maybe they are developing something or they host preev.com at heroku? Since heroku has free service maybe they host preev there.

I think @OP you can monitor bitcoin price in other site like Coinmarketcap and Coingecko because you can also see the other altcoin price movement.
Or if you want a live movement you can try this one cryptowat.ch

The people I know that use Preev primarily use the site for its simplicity compared to other sites like Coinmarketcap or Bitcoinwisdom.io(or .com). There's obviously places where more information is available, but a site like preev is sufficient if you're just taking a peek at prices and you're not interested in further details on price movements. I personally like the interface and I've made several sales on this forum with the rate Preev provided me at the time of sale.

Why not just a portfolio app on mobile or a extension on browser from any number of feeds? It's not like you really need the accuracy, unless you're a full-time trader (if you were, then you surely have a swathe of other options anyway).

P.S. Every hour? You greenhorns. I installed a chip in my head that updates me on the auto-adjusting price of all my P2P offers and exchange limit orders, as well as arbitrage trade opportunities from 200+ feeds around the world. All this via holo-transference onto my retinas. So yes, even when I sleep my subconscious is fed the updates live.

There are some alternative tools that can help you to find the average price in every minute. Preev was down during a day but now it works flawlessly.

Although preev is up and running, I'll also post the link for a converter I use now and then (not mine), especially if I want to check altcoins or the prices in my local fiat currency.
